Hi! I'm a lady in my early 30s from Canada. I work in film and TV post-production and also have a teaching degree.
I love to write, read (though it's mostly online these days), travel, sing, craft, edit video and photos, graphic design, listen to music and watch movies. I adore going to concerts and the cinema, as well as going out and doing anything fun and unique.
I decided to join Swap-Bot because I love getting mail and don't get very much! I also love the idea of getting to know folks from around the world, and of course, I love making crafts - and this will get me to do it more! :)
I have a 7-year-old brother who was adopted from foster care. He loves getting mail and part of why I've rejoined the site is to collect postcards for him! He loves Mario games, Pokemon, the Dog Man, Investigators and The Bad Guys books, Lego, Shopkins, Mini Brands, Thomas trains, the movies Sing, Toy Story and Monsters Inc., and FOOD!

I can't imagine my life without movies. Every year since I was 16 I've gone to the Toronto International Film Festival and had the time of my life! My favourites tend to be dramedies, but they're all over the map really.
Favourite films: Little Miss Sunshine, Once Whiplash, A Christmas Story, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, La La Land, Cinema Paradiso, Amelie, Slumdog Millionaire, Amadeus, Life is Beautiful, The Truman Show, Modern Times, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Tell No One, Tsotsi, Rat Race, Les Miserables...
Favourite bands/artists: The Frames, Hey Rosetta!, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Stars, Frank Turner, Arcade Fire, Matthew Good, Charlotte Martin, In-Flight Safety, The Beatles, Queen, Muse, Metric, Sam Roberts Band, Weezer, Broken Social Scene, Vanessa Carlton, Nerina Pallot, Dan Mangan.
Favourite musicals: Next to Normal, Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, Wicked, Spring Awakening, Whistle Down the Wind, Hamilton, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, In the Heights, My Fair Lady, Monty Python's Spamalot, Chess.
The Simpsons is number one, I can probably recite the entire series from seasons 1-12. I will forever be obsessed with my beloved underappreciated reality show, The Mole (edit - OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT CAME BACK!!!), and the beautiful, all-too-short Pushing Daisies.
Favourite shows: The Simpsons, The Mole, Pushing Daisies, Community, Hannibal, Reservation Dogs, The Traitors, The Soup, Friends, Whose Line is It Anyway?, House, Scrubs, LOST, Fringe, Modern Family, anything involving Conan O'Brien.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan! I tend to love the classics, clever modern lit, novels about dystopias, and a lot of YA.
Unfortunately I don't read as much as I used to, but I'm trying to work on it.
I really enjoy various crafts. I like making cards and other papercrafts. I've dabbled in scrapbooking. I like paint-by-numbers and woodcraft kits. I also enjoy drawing and painting, and do a little clay modelling.
As for what I like from other people, I'm not picky! Things that are colourful and stand out are lovely, but any form is appreciated.
