I love to sew, especially to embroider on wool fabrics and felt. I also make felt using various types of fleece from sheep and alpaca’s. I like to learn new stitches and explore them with thick and thin yarns to see how they develop. I also love mail art, such a lovely way to connect with others around the world by sending decorative envelopes, I like to think it cheers the postal services too. I would love to start a swap of embroidery threads once I have become an established member of swap-bot.

I derive great pleasure from the wildlife in my garden, frogs, newts, birds, butterflies, moths and all visiting creatures, hedgehogs and dragonflies. I like to record arrival dates each year of the garden warblers, swallows, house martins, first frogspawn. I love my garden and all the pleasure it brings. I live alone but never feel lonely, I can be a bit awkward socially and find relating to others by mail a comfortable way of connecting.

Things that would give me great pleasure to receive:-

Feathers you might find on a walk.

Dried or pressed leaves.

Any embroidery threads, thick, thin, shiny, matt, silk, cotton, even just a short length.

Postcards of moths, butterflies, beetles, birds.

Odd buttons.

Small pieces of wool fabric or felt, just a few inches.
