7/1/--BROKEN AC NEED I SAY MORE! UGHHH-7/18- a/c is working and have cool air, but definitely struggling. The heat indices at 109 it is still warm. We are getting some coolness, just not what i would prefer. lol

05/04/17- It has come to my attn. that several of my swaps have gone out with out to or from address information. I write names on env. then put swaps in. My husband saw envies stamped and a name. he mailed them, i am not sure who's swaps these are. After searching for these envies. I asked if anyone was in my room and my husband owned it. Not thrilled with him right now. So please, if you have not received a swap, please contact me so i may get this out immediately.

02/18/17- My father passed away suddenly this week. Some of the swaps did not go out on time due to this. Please know they are all on their way. Thank you for understanding.

1/03/17- Happy New Year my Swap-bot friends! I am finally back! In March 2015 I stopped all crafting and had not done any until now. My mother who I cared for in my home passed away in May 2015. I was with her till the very end. I was blessed that i could take care of her in a way no others could or would do. It had taken me this long to finally complete my final stage of my grieving and crafting is something that was lacking. My mother would have been upset if she knew i wasn't creating anything. She loved opening all of the swaps that came in. So-- lets start Fresh in 2017!!!

3-2-15- My mothers health has declined severely in a matter of days. Hospice has been called into help care for my mother as she transitions into the next stage.
I hate to say, apparently , 3 swaps that i had sent may have not made it to my partners. They may get there or come back to me. I have resent all three and hope my partners like them. Unfortunately, I am not able to keep track of things since my mothers health has failed. I will be taking a little break from Swap-bot, to complete my task as a daughter taking care of her most precious mother. I am thankful for each and every partner i have had during this time. All of the notes and support have been wonderful and made me cry happy tears, knowing what special and caring people I swap with. MUCH LOVE AND GRACE, VALERIE

12-13- It is official, we have signed a contract to merge our company with another. This is great for my family and my sanity. Working with a spouse is a very challenging situation. The decision was made when I realized I cannot run a company, take care of a house, run a child everywhere and take care of all of my Mothers needs. I will be able to take care and spend the time where I am needed most.

I thank God for knowing when things need to change in our lives. All things led to this change and at the right time. Now I can be with Mom her until she is ready to go home to the Lord.

11-1- This has been a long week. We just found out that my mother has advanced stage 4 lung cancer. We went to the pain management dr for her hands, one week later lung cancer. I cannot believe this. She has only been with me for 6 months. I had to tell my four siblings the news by phone since they all live out of state.

I am a Christian, wife and mother. I love being with my family. I was raised in New Jersey and left for Florida in '86. In '94 after many years of not liking the heat. My husband & I moved to North Carolina. We were married on 3-16-96, 3-16 being a truly awesome scripture. I work from home part time. We have one son who is 15 and he brings us great joy. I co lead a weekly small-group Christ care bible study at my church with another great group of women.

70's music makes me smile. 80's music make me think of when I had the big hair. (which is coming back you know) My favorite christian group is Avalon. I enjoy most christian artists. I like pop country. I love reading my bible and learning about the Lord. I love to read biographies & auto-biographies. I like Janet Evanovich her Stepheanie Plum series, (her main character is from New Jersey, being a born and raised Jersey girl, I can relate) Since getting an iPad, my reading scope has greatly broadened. I am reading so many genre's that I would never have in the past.

The Pirates of the Carribean series, Deadpool, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Bridget Jones Diary (all), Spy, The Proposal, The heat, Identity Theft, O' Brother where art thou, A river runs through it, Save the last dance. Its a wonderful life, Twilight movies, Sabrina, too many to mention.

Empire, Survivor, Top Chef, This is us, Speechless, Grey's Anatomy, Notorious, the catch, Detour, Wrecked, Lethal Weapon, lots of Food Network shows, dancing with the stars, Master Chef, So You Think You Can Dance. General Hospital and Young & The Restless

ATC have become my favorites to make. Srapbooking, card making and any paper related craft, I like to paint (I try to anyway)with watercolors. I like to draw, (again I try). Love photography.
