Hello, my name is Shiralee, I'm a 45 year old single gal caring for both elderly parents. While I am doing that I am working towards creating for my 'one day home'. I love to sew, cook, garden, paint, draw, and do all sorts of scrapbooking. I'm a pagan, catholic, hippy, who aspires to live a simple life. I enjoy open minded people who like long letters. I love anything from big band music, the 50's, 60's, 70's. With a smattering of 80's and 90's. I even enjoy heavy metal, guns and roses to symphonic heavy metal bands like Epica, Nightwish, Kamelot, Within Temptation.

I love to read a lot of historical books, how to books and any books relating to vampires, faeries, and the like.

Some movies I did enjoy were: Maggie. Mad Max: Fury road. Up.

I liked Penny Dreadful, I don't think they are producing any more seasons. And recently caught up on all the of the latest Walking Dead.

I like the colour blue. More the old fashioned blues, like country blue and primitive country blue.

I love owls

I love butterflies

I love flowers, particularly the cottage types.

I like old fashioned tea cups

Lace

Vintage photographs

Country scenes, of barns, quilts, mason jars, flowers. Always flowers.

My favourite flower is Lavender and I also like the scent.

My favourite seasons are Autumn and Winter

My style changes but I always return to a cottage, country, preference. I like bright things, particularly reminisce of the depression era colours. I'm not adverse to cute modern Kawaii as I can also send them in other letters.

I drink tea, and like herbal tea.

I like country style. I like cottage Victorian style, I like the 1800's pioneer style, I like the 1940's style. In a nut shell, Granny shabby.

Mostly, I am very easily pleased and appreciate anything anyone sends as I know they put their time and care in to their letters. That's all that matters to me.
