Originally from beautiful Southern California, my husband and I spent 11 years on the Olympic peninsula of Washington. We moved to southern Oregon in 2018 and have had enough of it here, so we're looking for a home back up in Washington.

Alan and I have two kids: Watson (or Dr. Watson if he’s being good) and Emma. Both dachshunds, Watson was rescued in 2011 after living for 4+ years in a freezing garage and having food thrown to him occasionally. Emma we got from the top breeder of long-haired show dachshunds in Washington. She has epilepsy and is a daddy’s girl.

I've participated in hundreds of swaps around the world through different groups, and I was quite active on this site for a while, but got flaked on too often, so I stopped. After a few years away, a friend convinced me to return.

We are Civil War reenactors, which means I love history and, therefore, vintage-style art. I enjoy making ATCs, altered books, altered postcards, and chunky books with vintage themes. I like 1950s retro, Classic Hollywood, cemeteries, and animals. Really dislike anything religious, cutesy, politically conservative, stickers, or Disney.

I also enjoy doing mixed media collages and experimenting with different techniques. I just had neck surgery and as I recover I've discovered an interest in watercolors. I've been painting ATCs from some of my photographs.

My passions are genealogy, international travel, and photography. I especially love to photograph cemeteries, abandoned places, nature, and Yosemite.

I love to dumpster dive and reuse whatever I can. A really good dumpster dive is like Christmas morning for me!
