I am a Cellist in the Northern Most Symphony Orchestra in the US. I teach cello privately and direct a middle school band and orchestra (one of two male teachers at my school). I also work as a drop out prevention specialist and teach middle school math. I recently had a son and am married to the love of my life. I write, compose, draw, take photographs, and spend all the time I can with my 4 month old, my wife, and my dog.

Labyrnith, Pan's Labyrnith, The Story Teller, LOTR (All three), I Heart Huckabees, Children Of men, Across the Universe, Once, Garden State, Serenity, Te Goonies, Snatch, Lock, Stock, and two Smoking Barrels, Finding Forester, any and all documentaries (especially about classical musicians (Great Performances)), All skateboarding videos.

The majoruty of the music I listen to is clasical. Bach, Beethoven, Popper, Haydn, Saint-Saens, Dvorak, All of the great concertos, especially cello concertos, inspire me.

As far as music made this century I would have to say music by the likes of Mos Def, Bloc Party, Iron and Wine.

I love Neil Gaimen books. Neverwhere, Coraline, American Gods...

Chuck Pahalinuk is another great auhtor...pick a book any book.

The Ranger's Apprentice Series is amazing, I reccomend them to anyone who like LOTR even a little.

I have read many biographys of great musicians and am constanly reading books to help me become a better teacher.
