Hi! My name is Kate and I'm a college student studying aero engineering. I'm from from Upstate New York, grew up around Rochester, and am now at school up in the north country. I love music, books, being crafty, geekery, and science. I also love bright colors, beautiful things, and anything inspiring. I have a bit of a fascination with sending things in the mail.

I joined my school's photography club this year, and I'm really excited to be learning more, especially about film photography and darkroom development, though I also love working with digital SLRs.

I love music sooo much, so this is a hard question. I play violin, trombone, baritone, and a little bit of piano, guitar, and bamboo flute.

So I have a bit of a wide variety in taste. I also love to compose my own stuff.

I don't tend to watch much tv actually on tv, but, I do love many British shows, like Spooks, Robin Hood, and Merlin.

I also like to watch the Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, and House M.D. marathons that seem to be on constantly. And I think I'm getting talked into watching Bones and Big Bang Theory. Possibly.

I love to knit and crochet in my free time (very relaxing when studying for exams) and am getting much better at it! I also really love to make cards and papercrafts, and to design in photoshop. I do love to fool around with paints and pastels and colored pencils, though I'm not very good. I do origami from time to time. I tend to go through phases where I experiment with different mediums for a while.
