I am sure I will edit this from time-to-time, but for starters...

I have been married to my sweetheart for almost seventeen years and am a stay-at home mom of three kids. I have a black cat and a black lab mix. I love to read and think browsing the shelves at the local library is great. I love writing pens! I know that sounds silly, but there it is. :) I love tennis, and my favorite time of year is when Wimbledon is on. I don't drink coffee or tea or anything with caffeine, and I love orange juice. I never wear pink, although I am not opposed to pink flowers, fabric, etc. I love the beach and the mountains, spring and fall, thunderstorms, waterfalls, black cats, and cheesecake. I have done almost no traveling, but would love to at some point. I play the flute, although I do not practice as often as I should. Extras are fun, but please don't feel obligated. I join the swap for the swap. Anything extra is a treat, and I will appreciate it, but don't feel like you have to.

I have been cross-stitching for more than twenty years, and continue to enjoy it.

I started quilting about six years ago, and love it. I think I am going to need to get a night job to pay for all the fabric I would like to have! :) I am looking forward to building up my stash and having lots of fabrics not only to use, but to be able to participate in more swaps. I recently discovered charm quilts and have decided to start collecting 2.5" fabric squares for a charm quilt someday. I can only imagine the memories that quilt will hold by the time it is finished, whether they are fabrics I have used myself, or ones that are given to me.

I do not care for muted colors all that much (although I could probably use some so my stash will be well-rounded), but that's where my preference ends, I think. I love color, and think that quilting is like coloring with fabric. I look forward to having white, red, blue, green, purple...the list goes on!

My favorite is Big Band, although I listen to several types of music--rap and heavy metal are not included in that list. Specifically, I like The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Michael Buble, Josh Groban, The Corrs, Rob Thomas, and Enya.
