I am a fun-loving person who enjoys the simple things in life. I have a big heart and enjoy making others happy. I am an optimistic person and try to be the best person I can be each day!

I love (and am slightly obsessed) with anything that’s vintage, especially vintage clothing, hats, pictures from magazines, advertisements, and postcards of places I’ve visited or lived. I often feel like I was born in the wrong era, and belong in the 30s, 40s, or 50s.

I am party of a Vintage Cabaret dance troupe where we perform burlesque-style dance routines. Think Marilyn Monroe meets Betty Paige meets Dita von Teese. Going to our shows is like stepping back in time and going to an old Rat Pack show….live singing and comedy meets a bit of risqué dance and tease. I’ve been doing this for three years and love all things that sparkle, have feathers, or have fringe.

I live in Reno, Nevada and love the excitement of a 24 hour city mixed with the beauty of the great outdoors. I cope with the cold weather months in order to enjoy the amazingness that the summer provides. I love soaking up the sun’s rays and swimming in alpine lakes like Lake Tahoe.

A born Aquarius, I am a complete water-baby. I used to play mermaids in the water when I was a kid, and enjoy soaking in baths until I’m pruney as an adult. I dream of picturesque bodies of water, and often plan vacations around available beaches, oceans, lakes, pools, and rivers.

I still am unsure of what I want to do when I “grow-up”. I am a Social Worker by degree, but have decided to take a break from the high-stress profession. Currently I am the Registrar at a middle school, and enjoy the unexpected challenges it provides, as well as the ability to leave my work at work when I go home at the end of the day.

My dream job is to be a Party Planner, and while I’m not ready to make this my career path I thoroughly enjoy planning events for family and friends. I am meticulous with my planning and enjoy seeing other people enjoy the event I worked to bring to fruition.

I’m also a fantastic cook, and a self-described FOODIE. I grew up on Juilia Child, “The Joy of Cooking”, and my Momma’s chicken soup. I’m obsessed with kitchen gadgets, and love trying out new recipes. I make everything scratch, and my specialties include: chicken parmesan, hot & sour soup, and chocolate raspberry cupcakes with a chocolate ganache topped with a berry buttercream.

I am Jewish, but would call myself more spiritual than religious. I do collect hamsas.

I love all animals and have one kitty, Bella, who I love with all my heart.

Colors I enjoy are: purples, turquoises, teals, blues, and pinks.

I am super artsy-crafty and love trying new projects. Currently I’m into Smashing, and am enjoying collecting little bobbles and what-nots to put in my books. But name the craft, I’ve done it! I’m obsessed with markers and pens, and washi tape, and other fun things like that.

Some would call me a girly-girl. I am OBSESSED with makeup. I love trying out different pallets and color combinations. I enjoy doing my friend’s makeup for events. And I like trying new products on myself, and have fun playing with nail polish and creating differ nail art. Eyeshadows and nail polish are really what I seem to accumulate the most (hint, hint).

Other things I enjoy include: • Laughing and things that make me laugh. I have the maturity of a teenage boy sometimes, and have still been known to laugh at “fart jokes” • WINE!!! Any is ok, buy I’m on a red kick right now (specifically Merlots, Cabs, and blends). • Anything SPICY (especially different hot sauces) • Random observations • Asian Food (SUSHI, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc, etc, etc).
• Cocktails, and fun/different/inventive recipes. I LOVE VODKA! • Word Games like Scrabble • Cards Against Humanity • Tinkerbell (although not Disney obsessed) and making wishes on stars. • Vintage/Costume jewelry • Flowers, birdcages, bows, and other items to be put in the hair. • Cooking for those I love. • Photography. I always carry a camera with me, and enjoy taking those “artsy” type pictures. • Chocolate • Interesting snack foods from around the world.

Dislikes: I’m not that picky. I love when someone else takes the time to do something for someone other themselves so I’m usually just appreciative. But if we’re making dream lists here, I’m not a fan of: Religious items, cat-lover stuff (I love my cat but not a fan of cat-humor), Christmas & Easter decorations, gummy and sour candy, and body sprays and lotions (I’m picky about my scents).

I am constantly doing new crafts. Some successful, others not.

I am BIG into Smashing right now. So washi-tape, fun trinkets, pretty paper, smooth writing pens, adhesives, etc are always appreciated.

Other arts & crafts I have been known to pick up include: modge-podge/collaging, sketching, watercolor pencils, basic costume design (adding feathers, jewels, embellishments to things), anything with GLITTER, button art (when I have enough buttons), and the list goes on.
