About Me

I am an antiquarian bookseller and a lover of books of all kinds. My favorite author is Laura Ingalls Wilder and her Little House on the Prairie series. A few years ago, my family and I drove across country to stay at the original Ingalls Homestead in DeSmet, South Dakota. It was one of my favorite vacations ever. I live in California, near San Francisco, and I like to write, to cook, and am teaching myself to do embroidery at the moment.

I have a blog where I record my life as an antiquarian bookseller and my life with my family, which consists of me, my husband, our two sons, and our dog. It's called Book Hunter's Holiday: Adventures with Books and Manuscripts. I buy and sell books on my business website, Book Hunter's Holiday.

I love books, tea (especially Earl Grey), and anything with embroidery -- vintage linens, aprons, etc.

I look forward to joining the swaps here, particularly book-related swaps.

Response: I'm glad you liked the bookmark. The bookmark is hand-stitched, but not by me. I'm learning needlework, but not that well just yet. I did make the card. As a bookseller, I occasionally receive books that are in too poor condition to be repaired. Sometimes I salvage the illustrations and use them for making cards. Enjoy!
