Grandmother of 6, including twin girls who just celebrated their first birthday. Grew up on a ranch in southern Arizona and married to my wonderful hubby for 34 years -- also a southern Arizona rancher. He will tell you that his family has lived in Arizona under every flag that's ever flown over it (dating back to the conquistadores!)

This is the year I plan to retire -- 28 years working as the business manager of our church and I'm ready to concentrate on other things. My favorite colors are blue and purples, with a touch of red or orange. There are probably no colors I hate. I love turquoise and wear a lot of it -- both the color and the jewelry!

I loved "The English Patient" and was so astonished when I read the book -- the love story central to the movie was such a small part of the book. I love "Elf". Makes my heart happy.

I also embroider and knit. I consider myself a novice knitter and have made scarves and many prayer shawls (nothing that has to really fit). I've been quilting since I started having babies -- 34 years now. I love it because there's always something new to learn and everything I do inspires something else to do.

I also love old sewing machines. I like funky rustic things and heart-shaped items. One of my favorites is a paperweight made from recycled glass.
