I'm a 35 year old librarian with two cats, three goldfish, and other assorted aquatic life. I've also been a veterinary technician, and my absolute favorite job ever was working with cows on a dairy farm.

Why haven't I swapped oodles in the years I've been on the site? *

I have a lot going on in my life right now and never want to sign up for something I can't commit to getting out on time, but I do have a fair amount of mail art/swap experience as I was on Nervousness.org for years, before the site crashed. You can find part my old feedback page here and my old profile page here. Since the main site was never recreated, these are just snapshots from what's saved through archive.org.

Mostly, I like to do handmade swaps, and I love looking at someone's profile to get inspiration to create something that they will enjoy. I love when people list their favorite colors and critters as that gives me a great starting off point :)

*I actually had someone deny me participation in their swap (even though I had the listed required number of completed swaps with hearts) because I'd been here a long time but haven't swapped much, and she thought it was "fishy". Sometimes, Swap-Bot's cliquishness frustrates me, but such is life.

• Art dolls - I even traded with Lynn Dewart once!
• Masks - I love to make and paint masks
• Beads - I sell jewelry to pay for the addiction ;)
• Decos - I love finding the perfect pieces to add to someone's book.
• Tattoos - neeeed more iiiink
• Gears - Steampunk!
• Leather - I get most of mine from pow-wows or as gifts
• Feathers - my dashboard is getting filled with them...
• Wood, rocks, lichen, etc - yay nature walks!
• Photography - I won a D-SLR in a contest!
• Postcards - getting mail is the best :D
• Yarn - so many wonderful textures & colours
• Animals - of all kinds, particularly otters, coyotes, foxes, rabbits, owls and bats
• Monsters - RARR!
• Sushi - soooo good
• Interesting fabric - if only I had more space to store it!
• Halloween!! - it's my favorite holiday
• Art supplies & ephemera - who doesn't like this?
• Skulls & bones - I have an impressive collection

• Pink - I fail at being girly
• Precious Moments type cutesy figures

One of my all-time favorite comfort books is The Wood Wife by Terri Windling.

Others include the Lord of the Rings, The Fox Woman by Kij Johnson, and Something Rich and Strange by Patricia McKillip (or anything by her, really).

I also read a whole lot of graphic novels.
