Hi!

My Name is Maria, I am 30 years old and I live in Milan with my Husband and our pet corn snake Jeremy. I was born and bred in London, but have been living in Italy since 2010. I work in a nursery and although my job is very demanding, I adore the little souls I get to work with every day.

As I am in the middle of moving house, I have not focused much on swapping or letter writing. I hope that will change once we're settled in our new home. However, with the HUGE increase in postage prices that happened at the end of 2014, my sent post will drop dramatically and I want to give 'priority' to my existing penpals. I am sad that swapping will be put on the very low, back burner for now, but I will still join in when I find something s.p.e.c.i.a.l and I just can't help myself ;)

I have left all my 'likes' info up so that you can get to know me a little before sending a swap, but I want to add a little about extras...

Please do not feel obliged to send something extra. Please, please, please do not send an extra for the sake of it.

I am in the process of slimming down my stationery collection and craft supplies. In light of this, I really would really prefer not to receive extras, especially ones that that are unrelated to the swap i.e. we are swapping postcards and you include scrapbook paper scraps as an extra....

I don't want to seem like a meanie, but if I wanted scrapbook paper, I would have joined a swap for scrapbook paper or paper ephemera ;)

So, please save your extras for someone who will love them. Don't worry, I give hearts based on the quality of the swap, not on whether you sent an extra or not :D

Where I live, there is no postal collection after 12pm and no collection or delivery on weekends.

In theory this should not affect swaps I send as I will send by the deadline date (or pm you if there is something CRAZY that happens to prevent this).

However, if the deadline is on a Friday, the swap will not go into circulation until the Monday, depite me posting on time, so please be patient :)

If something hasn't reached you after 3 weeks, please contact me and I WILL resend.
