Hello everyone! My name is Erin, I'm 32, and I live in Iowa with my husband, cat, and two miniature dachshunds. I used to be a teacher but recently switched to instructional design, where I help other teachers design online courses. I spend my free time knitting, writing and swapping postcards, hiking, sewing, and reading!

I have just started swapping on swap-bot, and will work on filling out my profile with some more information about me :)

I've been knitting since 2008, and love yarn of all colors and textures. My favorite thing to knit is socks...I almost always have some socks going on needles, which is great because Iowa winter is super cold and wool socks are a necessity!

In the past couple years I picked up sewing. I've been learning how to sew my own clothing. I've also sewn one baby quilt, but don't really enjoy quilting that much.

I've been learning embroidery this year, and am pretty good at it! I like embroidering quotes and characters from my favorite TV shows.

I love postcards! I've been collecting them for a few years, but just recently started swapping them with other people!

I like city view cards, flags of different states or countries, cultural things like outfits or food, and especially love cards with nature scenes, such as beaches, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, or National Parks.

I'm not too picky about postcards, and am very happy to receive almost anything! I do not really like religious cards, but that's about it for my dislikes!

I am trying to collect postcards from each of the National Parks in the US and Canada. If you live near one of these parks, or have visited one and have a postcard, I'd love to swap!

I like all kinds of tea, including black tea and herbal tea. I don't really enjoy fruity tea, such as lemon or orange-flavored, and prefer to be able to add a lemon slice whenever I'd like. I love Earl Grey, or any other kind of tea with caffeine, especially for rainy mornings!

I like all kinds of candy - fruit-flavored, chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, sweet, sour, crunchy, chewy. The only candy I don't like is black licorice.
