5/13/19 - health update. I made it through last year! Surgery, radiation, and chemo therapy are all completed and behind me. Thankful to God and family, friends, and strangers who lifted me up in prayer and sent encouraging cards, etc. I really miss swapping! I am going to put my toes in the water and start swapping slowly. Thanks for being patient with me during my long break from SB!

1/31/18 - I found out today that I have a rather large tumor on my brain. If you are a person of faith, I would appreciate prayer. Mostly for my family. This will be very hard for them. If I need to rate you or send you something, please msg me and I'll do my best. Otherwise, I will probably be taking an extended break because I'm expecting them to want to operate and the recovery time for that is probably long. Thanks for your understanding. I have loved being a part of the SB community for almost 2 years and have met some great people! I love you all. ❤️

There is a very tiny town near me called "Flowerfield" and I always liked the name. That is how I got my SB name.

I've been married 29 yrs, with three children -- 2 boys and a girl. They're pretty good kids and I'm proud of them. We live near Chicago, Illinois.

I am here for fun and relaxation, not drama. I swap to reduce stress, mainly. I love fun mail.

I am a Christian. I love Jesus Christ and what He's done for me -- all by grace. The God of the universe took on a human form, came to the earth He created to die a death He didn't deserve, to pay for all of our sins and give us a right relationship with God. We could never earn it or deserve it.

Hobbies are spending time with my family, baking, cooking, reading, making photo cards (blank inside) and handmade envies, gardening, Bible study, swapping!, organizing, going to resale shops, thrift stores, antique stores and flea markets.

• Colorful things! Fav. colors: purples, blues, pinks, aqua, teal, lime green, almost all colors. I DON'T LIKE BLACK, MUSTARD OR MAROON COLORS; THEY MAKE ME SAD!
