I live 30 miles outside of New York City in an area with amazing wildlife including black bear, whitetail deer, red fox and wild turkeys. I love living in place with so much natural beauty. I enjoy hiking, gardening, traveling and volunteering. I have 2 kids who are always up to something interesting and oftentimes traveling or working somewhere exotic. I have a 10 year old standard poodle named Shadow who keeps the neighborhood entertained and is "borrowed" when non-dog families need a "dog fix'. My husband has an amazing sense of humor and has kept me laughing for over 30 years. He is the one who usually comes up with the ideas for the unusual places we have traveled and puts the adventure in my life.

Anything but rap. I like classical and classic rock and anything that makes me want to dance!

I am back from my dream trip to Africa and I found lots of elephants and cats, antelopes, warthogs, giraffes, hippos, crocs, crazily colored birds, interesting people, dust.... It was amazing and I am now sorting through thousands of photos I took to hopefully find a few gems. I would highly recommend Botswana to anyone who loves observing animals in nature What an adventure!
