I got a little bit behind in rating, but I have now rated everything I have received as of November 6. If I haven't rated you, I haven't gotten what you sent yet.

I am 28 years old, and I'm in the middle of trying to find myself. I guess I'm too young to call this a "midlife crisis," but that's what it feels like. I'm an Aries and trying to uncover my inner confident person. I'm also a Monkey, so I'm trying to discover my inner upbeat person too.

It's pretty hard to offend me. You can try if you want, though. :)

I'm in college again - I started in September 2008 and will graduate in September 2010. I really hope to move to a southwestern state after graduating, but we'll see what happens.

I would like to journal regularly, but I never seem to succeed. So I journal very sporadically.

I was a goth in the days before it was "cool" to be one (pre-Marilyn Manson). I still have the dark hair (that's natural), but I don't hide my rosy complexion or freckles behind ivory foundation anymore, and I wear colors now. ;) I still adore the colors of crimson and black, Victorian and Gothic fashion (the real deal, not the stuff that passes for it nowadays), and Halloween.

I am quite irreligious, and a bit irreverent too. I'm entertained by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, though.

Politically, I am very liberal. I am pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, and pro-universal health care. As for the antis, I am anti-racism, anti-sexism, and anti-theocracy. I am (mostly) straight, but very GLBT friendly! :)

I love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday of the entire year! I've loved the "spooky" side ever since I was a little kid, when I'd spend hours reading ghost stories and stuff like that. I don't believe in ghosts or the paranormal, but I still appreciate a good shiver or scare.

I really enjoy scenic postcards and postcards of people in traditional/native costume. :) Erotic postcards are also very appreciated!

I used to have several penpals, but all of them have stopped writing. I think that I'd like to have some penpals again. :) Nothing quite like receiving a nice letter in the mail, is there?

I rarely go anywhere without one of my ipods. I mostly listen to alternative and Top 40 stuff, although I do live in an area where country music is very popular, so once in a while some country songs creep onto my ipod too. I'm a total 80s child, so most of my favorite music comes from the mid-80s to early-90s. Is it just me, or is Cyndi Lauper practically a goddess?

I also am interested in musical theater. So far I've seen (and loved) The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and City of Angels. I've seen (and liked) Cabaret, Spring Awakening, Avenue Q, A Little Night Music, My Fair Lady, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Lion King. I've seen (and disliked) Spamalot and Cats.

I don't read as much as I'd like, especially now that I'm back in college. Some of my favorite books are April in Paris, Beauty and the Beast, Daddy Long Legs, A Farewell to Arms, Jane Eyre, The Painted Veil, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Silence of the Sea. I also LOVE the Hannibal Lecter series!

I watch a lot of movies - they're really nice background noise when I'm studying! Here are some of my favorites: 10 Things I Hate About You, 28 Days Later, Beauty and the Beast, The Butterfly Effect, Copycat, Kingdom of Heaven, Lady and the Tramp, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pearl Harbor, Red Dragon, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Sabrina, Schindler's List, and Silence of the Lambs.

I like witty, funny, and/or interesting TV shows. I watch the news sometimes, but all of the negative political ads and endless chatter about the same stuff make me sick. I like American Dad, Dexter, Family Guy, Fringe, House MD, Law and Order: The Locator, Special Victims Unit, Moral Orel, Project Runway, Squidbillies, and Top Chef. My guilty pleasure is the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency.

I watch Telemundo a lot. I'm not sure why we get that channel in the middle of Ohio, but we do! I'm a shallow, shallow person - I have a thing for Latino men, so I watch it for the eyecandy, even though I usually have no idea what's going on in most of the programming.

I like to knit and cross stitch. I have plenty of floss to last for several lifetimes, but I always enjoy adding new, fuzzy, and funky yarns to my pile of "things I'll never have time to knit, but I love anyway."

I am going to try making dotee dolls to see if I am any good at it!

I don't bake much (it's hard to cook for one) and I don't like scrapbooking (I don't really have many pictures anyway) or working with paper scraps.

I adore anything spooky or creepy. I promise you, it's not too morbid. Just don't send anything alive, because that might really bother the postal workers (not that I'd mind too much, since they're usually very rude at my post office). I'm not into the "cutesy" Halloween stuff - I like vampires, zombies, ghosts, and other things that creep people out.

Besides being morbid, I love Burts Bees lipbalm, milk chocolate, nail polish (unusual colors and blood-red), and postcards. I also like pretty stationery, including kawaii. It's almost impossible to find stationery around here!

My favorite colors are crimson, black, and steel gray. White and deep blue can be good too, in moderation.

Food-wise, I enjoy milk chocolate, fruit punch flavored things, cowtales, nuts of any kind, and Twizzlers. I can never say no to any type of chocolate!

Like most people, I dislike liars and flakers.

Please don't send me anything religious. As I stated in my "About Me" section, I am about as irreligious as they come, and I can guarantee that you won't be able to convert me to your religion by giving me a pamphlet (numerous people have tried). Chances are I've already tried your religion anyway - I was a Christian for several years, and I've dabbled in Wicca, eclectic Paganism, Buddhism, and progressive Islam at one time or another. I'm glad that a particular religion works for you, but it just isn't for me. I'm a happy little agnostic clam.

I dislike pink. I also don't like most shades of green (I can deal with jade or kelly once in a while, but that's about it) and purple (I can stand plum in small doses).

I HATE ZEBRA PRINT. Yes, it deserves all caps, that is how much I loathe it! :) Really, I don't like animal print anything.

Wool makes me all itchy and hive-y.

Artificial fruit flavors (strawberry, grape, cherry, lime, lemon, etc) are generally icky and too sweet for my tastes. The exception is orange.

I can't eat chewy things like taffy or gum, due to a jaw disorder.

I really dislike the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer and I have no idea why it's so popular!

I don't have a bathtub (just a shower stall), so please no bubble bath, bath salts, or anything that can't be used in the shower.
