I will be giving a break on participating here. Before that, I want to be sure that all my partners received a package from me, send or resend, so I´ll wait for that and then I´ll be absent for a while.

About rating system, I´m sorry to say that, but I don´t believe in it, as many people don´t rate when received a package and mainly, because anyone uses it in a different way. So it´s not fair enough to be reliable.

International swaps take much more time to arrive( usually between 2 to 6 weeks), sometimes gets stuck in the costums, sometimes it gets lost.

International swaps demands more patience than others.

ABOUT ME

I´m Glaucia, 42 y.o, brazilian, living in Piracicaba,SP. I live with my 15 y.o daughter, 2 dogs and a rooster. I love animals, nature, books, fall,dragonflies, hummingbirds, colors ( I don't like gray), to create with paper, fabric and/or threads. I love to meet people all around the world and the richness of the diversity. I used to work with environmental education and now I´m working with design and handcrafts.

Almost everything made with fabric or paper interests me. I love to embroidering, crazy quilt, patchwork, drawing, cloth dolls, different techniques in paper and visual journals. I like Joel Dewberry, Amy Buttler, Amy Shimler, Kaffe Fasset and others fabric designers work. I´m not a pastel girl, nor black and white or dark combinations. I like greens, oranges, aqua blue, lilac, purple, dark brown, pinks and red, and nice combinations among them.

I love to read. From Tolkien to Saramago, Italo Calvino, Rushdie, Mahfuz, Neruda, Gabriel Garcia Marques, Fernando Pessoa and many others, including the great brazilian and portuguese language authors, of course.

Parcels from here to USA usually takes 15-20 days to arrive. That is what they say, but it can vary a lot.

From here to Europe, it may take more, around a month.

For other places I have no ideia. I received from Japan in 15 days, from Thailand in a month, so that varies a lot.

I received parcels from USA that took 15 days to arrive, others that took more than a month, and some of than got lost. Please, be aware that this is a possibility when joining an international swap.

So, PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE ! ( as said in "The Return of the Mummy" movie :)
