Please make sure LEWIS (not my username) is clear on the envelope above my address.
I’m an Aussie, living in Berlin, Germany. I am in my 40s. I finished studying a Bachelor of Arts.
I read a lot, mainly fiction but also some informative books on a wide range of themes. With books, I like to have one German book and one English book on the go. My German language skill is good enough for work, and general getting by, but I really am lazy with it.
I like cutting pictures out of magazines and sticking them in books to make new journaling pages. I used to enjoy playing bingo with my late grandmother, I have a nostalgia for it now, but nowhere seems to host it. I love flowers, household plants and learning about their benefits. I am learning about what plants from the weed variety are actually edible, like dandilion or nettle. I made some dried stinging nettle capsules for the Winter, they have a lot of vitamins and minerals. I enjoy taking holidays and look forward to exploring Europe more. Winter is my favourite season (as long as I can be warm!) but here it seems to be extremely long.
I like all colours, but especially mauve-purples, most reds and most greens (apart from lime/fluro).
I am quite happy with my own company and never seem to run out of things to do. I am religious, but in my own kind of way, spiritual perhaps.
I love cat related things - especially black cats. I also love starlings and blackbirds. Ferns, pheasants, carnations, snowdrops, oak trees, nature, dried/pressed flowers. Historical items. I'm always pleased to receive memo papers, stickers (adult), notecards, stationery papers, washi tapes, unused postcards that are not of a city.
I would love to receive anything with the common blackbird on it. It is my favourite garden bird. Also anything with hares or bees.
Favourite Season: Winter, Spring, Autumn and Summer Favourite Colours: Mauve, Forest Green, Gold and Silver
To be honest I don't listen to so much music anymore. But generally easy indie or something a little unique. I listen to mainly podcasts. In particular - The Higherside Chat Show Crrow777Radio Michelle Gibson (on YouTube)
I'll try anything, I did begin to crochet a cardigan, but am not having a lot of motivation as I've restarted it 3 times already. I also learned how to knit colour-work socks - see Stoneknits on Etsy - but not how to make the threads not tangle and therefore they're mostly too tight. I enjoy cooking and will often cook something new from a recipe book or instagram, online, but generally it should have a picture so I know what it should look like! I enjoy my junk journaling and making collages. I'd love to get letter stickers! But not number stickers.
Interesting magazine/newspaper cut outs, dicuts, things I can use in a junk journal. Anything cat related, floral, nature, pretty.
Cold comfort farm - Stella Gibbons. My Struggle (series) - Karl Ove Knausgård Anastasia (series) - Vladimir Megre Flames - Robbie Arnott Though a Glass Darkly - Karleen Koen
Indie films! Suggest some from your country please! I generally will not watch big Hollywood films including Disney. I can no longer tolerate violence or to be honest, sex-scenes. I do not see how it really enhances a film. Subtle and not in-your-face is always better. I enjoy watching foreign films, dramas, especially Japanese dramas because they are quite slow and calm (but generally not Manga).
I enjoy swimming (in a swimming pool) and try to also go to the gym regularly. I enjoy Pilates from time to time. I work full-time in an office. Unfortunately my commute to work is quite long and that makes me tired! But I do get to read a lot which is great. I love the idea of The Beartaria Times, building a community and living simply. I like vintage designs, flowers, nostalgia, old traditional christmas & snow scenes. Australiana!
I am happy to receive any notecards, notepapers/memopapers, letter sets! I am quite open minded and am happy to read your happy moments as well as your not so happy.
I would not like to receive food items. I do not need or want disney, hollywood, religious, manga items. Strictly NOTHING even slightly perfumed please!!
Thank you! :)
Dear Swap-Partner / RE: Ugly Stickers / My ugly might not be your ugly.. I have a small amount of stickers that I think are ugly! If you are brave and would like them, just mention it in a comment and I will include it in the swap we are partners for (obvs. not a postcard swap). :)
