I joined Swap-Bot for the joy of crafting and making art for others. I put a lot of thought and effort into my swaps with the hope it brings you the same joy I get from putting everything together for you. I read your profile and take notes in a journal so I can keep track of things to send you that are specifically related to your likes. I love to send happy mail that lifts your spirits and brightens your day.
I am a crafter/artist, mother of adult identical twin daughters, and I have been married a very long time. I have a little rescue dog, my husband has a little dog and we have 2 grandoggers. We live in a non-smoking home, so, yay for that!
LIKES:
-Colors: I love them all, blues, greens, teal, pink, purple, red, yellow, pastels, earth tones, brights, just about anything goes, really.
-I like the beach/ocean, flowers, butterflies, birds, dogs, animals, elephants, magical/fantastical, mermaids, Julie Nutting paper dolls, Art Impressions stamps, Stamping Bella, the mild side of steampunk, vintage, girly, eclectic, and quirky stuff. I love mixed media, hand-sewn or quilted items, and hand-drawn art that other people create.
-I collect old sewing buttons, hankies, books, ephemera, and of course, art and craft supplies.
-I'm nerdy and eclectic, and I like for things to bring me happiness and joy.
-I loved visiting England! It was a trip of a lifetime given to me by my daughters. It was the first time they flew, so that added even more "excitement." I am now obsessed with Big Ben and all of England. One day I hope to go back and stay in Bath.
DISLIKES:
-I don't like coffee, not even the smell of it (I love my hot tea, though). I'm not big on perfumey things like scented paper, candles, bath bombs or other items with strong odors, unicorns, things on the violent side of creepy, or anything having to do with horoscopes, ouija boards or tarot cards. I don't swap anything edible or perishable.
I love learning about mixed media, painting with watercolors and acrylics, card and journal making, and book binding. I like making unique backgrounds for my die cutting and card-making. I also dabble in Bible journaling and have a lot to learn.
The part I love about making journals and books the most is gathering the variety of paper such as vintage and hand-decorated, and other unique things to fill it with. I'm learning about waxed Irish linen threads, that paper has a grain, and also learning that I have a lot to learn.
Small art is where it's at for me. I like to make and trade ATCs, ATCoins, Index cards, Memory Dex cards, twinchies, inchies and whatever else I can make in miniature.
I am learning how to use the Gelli Plate. I can crochet, but I rarely do.
As with other crafters, I have tons of supplies. I also have die cutters, dies, embossing folders, and lots of cling and rubber stamps. Stickers you say? I have way too many, so there's no need to send me more.
CHALLENGES I HAVE ENJOYED:
-Tim Holtz's On-line Creative Chemistry 101/102/103 classes
-Yellow Daisy Art's Index Card A Day (ICAD), June 1-July 31, 61 days of arting. I have participated in it for the last 4 years.
-I am always swapping or making things for other people in person or via Instagram, here, and on Facebook.
Here are a few things I've made for swaps. To see more, go to flickr.com and search for me under iamdawt. The first one was for an Easter themed flipbook. I worked on it for several days and really enjoyed it.
This tiny book, which is 2" x 2-3/4", was made for the Smooshing Technique swap. I used my painterly watercolor paper for the cover and bound blank watercolor paper with a 2-needle coptic stitch for the recipient to use as she pleases.
This was made for a junk journal swap. It has 3 signatures attached to the spine with a pamphlet stitch. It's filled with all sorts of vintage paper, pockets and other nifty things. My partner loved it and made me feel so good about my art.

You should show more of your art work! They are fantastic.
Thank you so so much for the junk journal and pretty card. I am so excited to start using it for memories. I took the box to work so Tina and I could open it together. I didn't know they were themed for each of us but I let Tina choose and she picked the sewing one after all. But both are lovely. Glad you got your box too. Thank you again so much.
Thank you for the awesome swap you sent to me!
Thank you for the absolutely darling twinchies you sent my way. In such a cute handmade card, no less. My mum's a card maker and I am always so impressed by people's ability to do so, I just have never been able to get into it.
