About Me

I live in Dublin, Ohio which is a suburb of Columbus. And yes, I love the fact that I am Irish and live in Dublin (even if it isn't the real one). I am a high school English teacher and I am also the yearbook advisor. I love to read almost any type of book. I also love to listen to music and spend time with my family. I have a goldendoodle puppy, Cara, (golden retriever and poodle mix) who is always up to mischievous.

I am, of course, a HUGE Ohio State fan. My husband and I try to go to at least one football game and basketball game each season. I am also a big Duke basketball fan. I grew up just outside of Cleveland, Ohio so I am a Browns fan and a Cavalier fan (even though they keep breaking our hearts)

I love all things vintage. My family likes to joke I should have been born in any other decade. I could spend hours in thrift/vintage shops. My favorite thing is to find vintage jewelry and dresses. I really love vintage charm necklaces right now =)

Favorite Crafts

I will try any craft at least once, although there are some I am better at than others. I just learned to knit and am excited to learn more, I cross-stitch and love to collage. I could spend hours looking through and cutting up magazines. I just started to get into collage making and scrap booking. I am really looking forward to learning so many things by participating in swaps.

Favorite Books

Being an English teacher, I love just about all books... but my all-time favorites: Pride and Prejudice (or really anything Jane Austen), To Kill a Mockingbird, Great Expectations, anything by Shakespeare and the Harry Potter books. I collect bookmarks and I love journals.

Favorite Television

I love watching Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, Modern Family and Glee. I do have to admit to a secret obsession with a few reality shows. I adore Project Runway and I also like Dancing with the Stars, Survivor and The Amazing Race.

Likes and Dislikes

I love anything green or black, all things vintage and/or bohemian, and I collect bookmarks, postcards and journals.I love black and white photographs I love peanut butter, give me a peanut butter m&m or a buckeye and I'm in heaven.

Is it bad that I really want some royal wedding souvenirs?

I am a red head and all my life have disliked the colors red and pink. I also don't like nuts.

Comment: Hi Colleen :) I LOVE the pc you sent. I feel sorry for the ladies way back when having to wear sooo many layers of clothing in the heat of day gardening. Rather than her sitting there looking exhausted holding flowers, they should have placed a glass of iced tea or a beer in her hand, ha ha...Bless her heart. Thanks again, the pc is just darling. It's so amazing how stores in each area have very different things in their $1 bins! Yay! for summer break! I've been sleeping till 9 or 10 every morning. It's been wonderful!
