I'm in my very late 20's, starting a new career in corporate industrial design and branding. In short: I make cool MOMA-esque staplers, furniture, business cards, pens, carpets, installation art and the like for a software company. In my former career I was a Costume Designer and Craftsperson for theatre, opera, and ballet. I also dabble in event and wedding planning, interior design, and dressmaking on the side. As a future project, I'm working on my own line of kidswear.
I enjoy traveling, especially in Europe, though recently I've been trying to get to every state in the US. A recent cross country road trip helped alot. While traveling I like to explore local restaurants and supermarkets. Food can tell so many stories about a place!
I love to bake bread and I'm trying to learn cake decorating. I adore wine, chocolate, bread, and ice cream.
I love to read, knit while watching movies, go to the gym, run, explore my hometown (a charming fishing town north of Boston), and troll the thrift stores for cool bargains. I read fashion magazines and love to come up with my own looks. I like to decorate my house, in a kitchy, vintagey, Little House on the Prairie kind of style. Hee.
I'm allergic to nuts, peanuts, and peas so they are all pretty low on my list.
I'm not into ATC's, Dotee Dolls, or matchboxes. I'm not into cop shows on TV. I'm not into cartoons. I'm not into Thai food or pizza. I'm not into the smug folk who drive a Prius. I'm not into energy made from corn. I'm not into Firefly being canceled. I'm not into the low value of the dollar. I'm not into our current international politics. I'm not into Uggs. I'm not into dogs.
I'm into babies (though I don't have one yet). I'm into Cherry Hill Yarns. I'm into Michael Miller fabrics. I'm into watching the presidential race. I'm into owning my own home. I'm into home grown tomatoes. I wish I had a new Mustang. I'm into curly hair. I'm into spoiling my nieces. I'm into baking with friends. I'm into trying new reastaurants. I'm into Chef Morimoto. I'm into sushi.
