Hey there!
My name is Xandra. I'm a university student studying art history and Japanese. I enjoy black coffee, tattoos, and bunnies. I joined this website because I really miss the nostalgia of snail mail, and I've heard great things about some of the awesome ways to get creative on here! Most of my swaps will focus on things like postcards/small flat mail, but I'm looking forward to seeing what I can create.
PLEASE NOTE: If we are doing a swap that sends recipes/food/anything not paper related. I am a vegan, and would super appreciate the things I receive to be so too. You will probably receive a private message from me before the swap begins, as well.
DECEMBER 13TH UPDATE I plan on treating the swaps I sign up for similar to my homework assignments. That being said, Michigan is very intense during the winter months. I promise to make sure things are turned in no later than the deadline date, but snow and ice are out of my control, and things may not arrive immediately. Michigan winters usually last until April. Because of this, many of my swaps are going to be electronic until the spring time.
I'm super into alternative music, and I listen to a lot of the local tunes that come out of my area (Detroit)
My favorite books generally surround the horror category, but if I'm being diligent with this website, I'll keep a running log about my current read. At this current moment, I am in my finals week in school, so I will be unable to read for pleasure very much.
Currently Reading A Darker Shade of Magic V. E. Schwab
I'm not much into film, but I do enjoy horror movies, as well as social and cultural documentaries. Frankly, I don't have much time with school to watch either things, but you can probably catch me watching a docu out of the corner of my eye.
Nevertheless, I'll always be a Harry Potter fan, both book and film.
My two favorite documentaries are Baraka and Samsara, by Ron Fricke. I do believe both can be found in completion on Youtube! What a lovely way to learn about so many other cultures.
Favorite TV shows include American Horror Story, Black Mirror, Doctor Who, Bob's Burgers and Tales From the Crypt.
Honestly, I'm not so sure I have a favorite craft. I think I joined this site so I can explore my creative abilities. I have a love for paper arts, and am thinking about learning how to create journals!
I do enjoy things like knitting and cross stitch, but due to the length that these crafts take to create, I more than likely will not be doing swaps related to those things.
