Just an ordinary girl, seeking an extraordinary God.

Hello, My name is Dianne. I grew up in a very small town in Connecticut, and decided, when I was in my mid-20's, that I wanted to move to Boston. I had never been to this city at that point, and didn't know anyone there, but I was determined to go. It was the best thing I ever did. I learned more about myself during the five years I was there than any other time in my life.

Currently I live in Florida. It's back to small town living for this girl! I always describe where I've lived as - Connecticut is my home, Boston is my heart, and Florida is my head. I've changed a lot since moving down here in 2001.

I became a Christian in 2002. My journey in the faith has been a wonderful adventure, albeit a roller coaster at times, but also very eye-opening for me.

In 2003, I became a first time homeowner. I found my home sort of by fluke on a Monday, got in to see it the next day on Tuesday, made an offer on Wednesday, and Thursday my offer was accepted and I signed all the papers. Yikes! It's a lot of work, but so worth it.

Since living in Florida, I have really branched out creatively. I want to try everything creative and seemed to have developed this fearlessness toward doing so. Some of my favorites are knitting, watercolor painting, making stuffies, playing the guitar, making Black Apple dolls, zentangles, and sewing. I even started writing my first play, which is a lot harder than I thought. There is simply not enough time to do everything I would like to.

Other notables: I have a kitty who is five years old. Her name is Maisy. She is little rascal sometimes, but she makes me laugh every day.

This year, I am attempting to learn German. My mom was born in Mallersdorf and we will hopefully be taking a trip there someday. I thought learning the language would help.

I also love, love, love hot tea. I'll drink just about any kind, but my favorite is Lady Grey Tea. And I probably have chocolate every day. Not a fan of white chocolate.

To the Wonder, Jane Eyre (2011), Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Hours. I'm also a big fan of documentaries and behind-the-scenes look into things.

Bones, Top Chef, House of Cards, Blue Bloods, Walking Dead, The West Wing, Travel the Road, Downton Abbey, Outlander, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I have not had cable at all since I've owned my house, so a lot of what I watch I take out from the library, record at my parents' house, or watch on Netflix.
