Hi, my name is Nichole and I'm 23 years old. I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, but now I live about 2 hours away from my childhood home, in a larger city with my boyfriend of 5 years and our very cute, but very grumpy/mean cat named Frank. I like living in the city, but sometimes I get homesick for the country.
I've always been interested in art. In fact I went to school for Graphic Design, and I did a little freelance work, but it wasn't enough to pay my bills. Now I work a full time job in retail (selling junior clothes) and even though I love clothes and I make pretty decent money, I really just want to quit and join the Peace Corps, then become a photojournalist for a travel magazine. Talk about a mixed up life, huh? Well I think your early 20's is a good time to figure stuff out. ^.^
I just joined Swap-bot in hopes that it will help me get some creative energy out. Also I can use it to cheer me up on days when I'm feeling down. I can't wait to start swapping and meeting new people!!
I love all things beautiful (don't we all), but here is a list of things I absolutely love:
Yarn
Watercolors
Owls
Pinup Girls
Anything vintage from 20s, 50s, 60s, 70s or 80s

Deer
Anything celestial or cosmic

Things I don't like:
I'm not a fan of religious items/themes
Cigarette Smoke (Non-smoker here)
Country and Rap music

The 50 Shades of Grey Series
I'm a huge fan of dark humor - my favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk, he is most famous for his book Fight Club, which was made into a movie, but I think his book Rant is brilliant. I also enjoy John Green books, my favorite is Paper Towns and Looking For Alaska. Just finished reading the Fault in our Stars. I've recently been looking up books that would actually change your life and a couple on my reading lists are:
The Great Gatsby
Slaughter House Five
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Cat's Cradle
One Hundred Years of Solitude
Invisible Monsters
White Oleander
In Cold Blood

Other books that are not so much life changing but I still love are:

The Boys of Summer Series

I guess you could say I enjoy reading very much, :)
It seems like I can't do anything without music. I'm listening to music right now as I write this!
For my last birthday my boyfriend got me a record player and now I'm obsessed with vinyl. I know that it's like going backwards with technology, but I love it still.
Some of my favorite bands are:

TO THE BOT!
Welcome to the bot! :oP
I see you have Sherman Alexie's "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" on your list of books to read. To get the most out of that book, try to get it on cd (your library may have it, he's really popular) - he does his own narrating, and he's a hoot! :oD
