I am into paper crafts. Especially scrapbooking and card making, I have incorporated stamps into my card making as well and have quite a good stash started. I am starting also to get into altered art and have taken a class or two at a local scrapbook store.

My mom and I have started working on mini alblums and different types of squash books. It has been fun to see what each of us comes up with. I love being able to provide my family with such personalized and unique gifts. Giving a book in place of a card for birthdays and other occasions is fun and the reciepients have really enjoyed the memories these gifts are brining back to them.

I am happily married to my best friend and we have 3 boys between the both of us. Two are out of the house with the last in high school. No grandbabies yet but I am making an art journal of the pages I want to scrapbook on my grandchild when that time comes.

I found out in Jan that I am going to be a grandma in August. Do not know the sex of the baby yet but will find out soon. So exciting but I am still way to young to be a grandma.

I listen to most anything. But my fav is Country.

I like to listen to books on CD and always have one on in the car. It makes the time fly by for the commute into work. As for actually reading, I have the kindle and nook downloaded on my tablet and am slowly reading a book here or there.

No real favorites but my recent reads include The Help and Fifty Shades of Grey.

QUILTING - This has replaced Scrapbooking in the past year for me. I got a Singer sewing machine for Christmas 2014 and by Sept 2015 I already upgraded to a Janome. I have made 4 quilts and started a couple of more over that 1st year. I am now also making bags. A lot of fun and I like to experiment with different styles. I have quilted all of my own quilts so far which have been a simple style but this year I plan on giving a try at free motion quilting. I have been sticking to a traditional patterns so far for my quilting but started paper piecing with the 1930's Farmer Wife quilt a long.
