Hi, My name is Mary. I'm 47, married with two daughters in college. We're almost empty-nesters and I'm looking forward to it. We've had children our whole marriage so it will be nice to be just the two of us and enjoy some of the things we couldn't 20 years ago. We'll have been married 23 years in September of this year and it just gets better each year! Love my kids, but they are anxious to spread their wings and I'm happy to let them do so. We've done our job, and now we can have a few years of alone time until the grandkids come along.
I enjoy reading, movies, walking my dog, exploring the area we just moved to, scrappin', and what I call "settling". I'm "settling" into a new home, and have lots to do since we didn't ship very much overseas. Bargain shopping, sorting through recycled materials, it's one big adventure to see what I can do to decorate a second home for very little $.
My favorite colors are red, turquoise and black. My favorite food is lazagna. My favorite thing to do is curl up with my sweetie and watch a show in the evening to relax.
Rock (70s, 80s, and 90s), Pop (80s), Country, (just about anything), Classical symphony and piano, Bluegrass, Trance/Techno music, Movie soundtracks, A cappella choral arrangements, Swing/Big Band
I've read most of Laurell K Hamillton, Patricia Briggs, Lyndsay Sands, Anne McCaffrey, Stephen R. Donaldson, Terry Brooks, Dakota Cassidy, Michelle Bardsley, Janet Evanovich, Joanne Fluke, Jeaniene Frost, Kristen Painter, Kelley Armstrong, Tanya Kappes, Denise Swanson, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris (before HBO ruined the series) Marion Zimmer Bradley, Elizabeth Peters, Clive Cussler, Frank Herbert, J.R.R Tolkien, Lee Child, Anne Rice, Ann Charles, J.K. Rowling, Tom Clancy and a whole lot of other authors.
Every book is a favorite book, especially while I'm reading it!
