Hello fellow swappers! My name is Serena and although I may be new to the Swap-Bot world I have been penpalling and swapping on my own since elementary school. Naturally, I was immediately hooked. I am a teacher by day that loves all things vintage. I like to consider myself crafty but rarely find the time to actually finish projects.

I may be completely crazy considering I just got married this past weekend (with a completely DIY wedding) and continued swapping all around it...but I am pleased to say I am a happy newlywed :)

I tend to have a rather large spectrum of likes when it comes to cinema. My absolute favorite genre is horror even though I am so critical of them. I love everything from documentaries to kid movies to vintage movies. Growing up in the 80's makes for some favorite cheesy picks. Got to love Dirty Dancing, Flashdance, Labyrinth and The Princess Bride. I am a definite Quentin Tarantino fan. In fact, I tend to use his name as a verb when telling stories, haha.

I swear there is not enough hours in the day to watch all of the shows that are out there. I mean, isn't television just way better than it used to be? Thank goodness for TV on DVD and Netflix Instant so I can binge watch and stay afloat. Right now some of my favorites are: True Blood, Masters of Sex, Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, American Horror Story, Boardwalk Empire, New Girl, Hollywood Game Night, 2 Broke Girls, and I'm sure the list could go on...

I love flea marketing and finding furniture to refinish and reupholster- too bad it's not quite mailable ;) Otherwise, I tend to make HQ N&N FBs. I just love getting creative and making ones when themes are involved. I just branched out into ATCs and am curious to get some feedback on how I did.

I have many random likes. I love the color green, although blue and purple are a close second. I do not like most things that are pink. My favorite animal is a giraffe however I do have two kitties so am partial to them as well. I love mermaids. I enjoy kawaii stationery that comes with fun matching envelopes. I love all things vintage so anything pin-up, or black and white, or flappery is fantastic in my book. I am also a bit of a horror buff so anything with a ghoulish vibe is pretty wonderful. I am a big fan of anything vintage, especially old photographs. Audrey Hepburn is my absolute fave. I am kind of a lip balm / gloss addict. I try to be vegan so appreciate dark chocolate when sending treats, especially around my favorite holiday- Halloween! I love vintage Halloween themes, the older the better.
