After being inactive for some time, I'm excited to start swapping once again! The reason for my inactivity was because life had become very hectic and busy for me and I worried that I would miss a due date or be unable to send out my swaps on time (even though this has never been an issue in the past). Fortunately though, my days have been a lot more calm now thank goodness, and I can't wait to begin swapping! :D
Hey there!
My name is Lizzy :) I'm a 26 year old psychology graduate that's born and raised in sunny Southern California. I love learning new languages, it's an absolute beautiful thing. At the moment, I'm only fluent in English and Spanish, but I hope to improve my German as well. To me, every new language learned opens up a portal- one where you're able to communicate with new groups of people. It expands your knowledge & possibilities, plus it's so fascinating! :) I'm a momma to 5 fur babies (yup, 5!) that I helped rescue off of the streets and I wouldn't trade them for any other kitties in the world. In my spare time, you can easily find me reading a book at a quiet coffee shop, cuddling with my cats, binge watching a new favorite TV show, spending some quality time with my family, or crocheting (it's a hobby I picked up in college and have become so passionate about!).
As far as music goes, I seriously can't live without it :) My taste in it is quite broad too, but some of my all time favorite genres have to be; rock, alternative, electro, pop, indie, and even classical and instrumental for times when I feel like relaxing or studying.
My biggest dream is to open up an online shop where I sell my handcrafted crocheted items as well as patterns for all sorts of adorable products.
Some things on my bucket list:
Open up a small business.
Study abroad in Europe.
Become fluent in at least 5 different languages.
Write a book.
Go on a good old fashioned roadtrip across the U.S..
"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
"To me, a rich and satisfying life means one full of contrast. Give me sleep ins. And soft rains. Coffee shops and conversation. But also adrenaline and adventure. And drunken bellows to the stars. I am determined to embrace this extravagant life for all that it has to offer."
Beau Taplin// A Disparate Life
I first began my crafting journey about 5 years ago through snail mail. Although I don't have penpals anymore, getting to know people through the art of handwritten letters has been one of the best experiences that I've come across in my life. Snail mailing helped to inspire me creatively in several areas. I now focus on crocheting amigurumi, stuffed animals, blankets, cute keychains- you name it. Other times, I'll delve into card & envelope making as well as working with soft pastels.
Although I haven't been crafting for as long as a majority of the talented people on here, I do put a lot of thought, effort, and love into the things that I create and send. I hope to get inspired along this journey, with every swap that's exchanged and through each of my swap buddies :)
Hugs!
My favorite colors are pastels and rose gold :D

I joined this website to have fun and make people smile upon receiving one of my absolute favorite things in the world: happy mail. With that said, I will never flake on a swap. I click "send" the very same day that I mail swaps off. However, I know that sometimes mail can get lost or delayed, so please message me first before rating. If you have any concerns whatsoever, please contact me firstly so that I can figure out if there's an issue. Ultimately, if a swap never makes it to its destination (which would be tragic- but has happened to me with a few penpal letters), I am more than willing to send a new one! :)
Happy swapping, everyone!
