ETA. (August 6th 2010) I have a hit a bump in my Swap Bot Journey with several negative ratings, please know that I am doing up utmost to rectify this at the moment. I have not signed up for any new swaps because I will not begin any new obligations until I have fulfilled the previous ones. My name is Nic and I live in reigonal South Australia with my husband and 2 children aged 13 and 11. My family is the most important thing in the world to me, even though we are spread all over the globe. I work full time as the team leader in the Kindy room at our local child care centre, I love my job but must admit it stresses me out sometimes.

I have participated in swaps before through internet groups and love getting snail mail. Most of my swaps have been scrapbooking related but I have recently extended my crafting skills to include hand embroidery and basic quilting.

My style is pretty and simple, I love country but more along the lines of French Country than Chickens and Cows and Barbed wire and chicken fencing type country. I love pastel colours, and also deep burgandys and Hunter Green. Floral is great as are stripes, spots, checks and plaids. I really really don't like orange in any amount and am also not keen on bold colours. Ribbon, lace, braid, crochet, doilies, little flowers are all high on my list of loves. I would LOVE to travel the world and love anything multicultural, fabric, newspapers, embellishments anything that is representative of your culture.

Being very new to Swap-Bot I am not sure what kind of swaps I prefer, but I do know that I up for almost anything so long as you don't mind me asking LOTS of questions.

I love music, and I love to sing, really loud if not really well. My preferences run from 60's classic rock, to 80's retro right up to today with a secret love of.......Miley Cyrus (Shhhhh, don't tell anyone)

I listen to my music EVERYWHERE, at home, in the car, at work and while waiting at appointments. I just bought myself an iPod touch and it has become my new best friend, am loving the fact I have discovered how to tune it to the radio in my car so now I have my music ALL the time........my hubby isn't so pleased about this discovery!!!!

Favourite all time book ~ Anne of Green Gables Other great reads ~ Stephen Kings early works, John Grisham, and any historical romance.

I read far less than I wish I did, by the time I have finished work, gotten the kids to various sports, made tea, tidyed up, and sat down, there isnt much time left for reading....I would much rather spend my time crafting.

I love a good movie and will often watch movies over and over (often while crafting my evenings away). I love Lord of the Rings, A Knights Tale, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Also any classic 80's movies Footloose, Flashdance, Dirty Dancing, The Breakfast Club, Top Gun......I think you get the idea, lol.

I am the worlds biggest cryer at movies, my kids refuse to go the theatre to see anything with me becasue they know that I am going to cry, even at the animated movies.

I am ADDICTED to American Idol and Americas Next Top Model. As for TV series I love NCIS, CSI, , Bones and Two and a Half men.

I am also re-watching a few older series on DVD, like 90210 and Dawsons Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I am a bit of craft junkie. I think I am a little bit guilty of buying more than I am ever going to use but everything is just so pretty.

I am a papercrafter, enjoying a bit of scrapbooking and cardmaking. I am also recently addicted to FABRIC and all the wonderful uses for that. I enjoy hand embroidery mostly just a simple straight stitch with he occasional satin stitch and the possible daisy stitch but definantly still got my L plates on in terms of anything more dificult than that. I am also testing the waters with some simple patchwork and applique techniques.

I can turn my hand to most things crafty and always enjoy a challenge, however I can in no way do ANYTHING with knitting kneedles or a crochet hook!!!
