I'm a retired nurse. I finally have the time to do all the crafting I want to and I have been busy!!. I crochet -recently a baby blanket for a new grandchild, my son's first child). I do needlework especially counted cross-stitch - I recently completed a piece that will be inserted into a wooden tea tray. I paint rocks and then hide them around town for others to find - it's part of an "art abandonment project." I make greeting cards (more than 100 done) and note card sets. I've painted more than 100 plant pokes and 100 wooden magnets to sell at a fair this summer - all mandalas. I make and design jewelry - recently one of my granddaughters expressed an interest in learning to make her own for her prom - we made a slave bracelet and a thigh chain. I love to cook - the planning, the shopping, the prepping and the cooking - BUT NOT the clean-up! I make my own bread weekly and love trying different kinds of flours and flavors. I love food, especially dessert. I love wine but can't drink reds because of the tannins - they cause migraines - happily, there are plenty of whites and roses - my most favorite is Ice Wine or Late Harvest Wine. I play scrabble on the computer every day - I always have 30 games going at once with others around the world. I love Facebook - I can keep in touch with friends all around the world. I hate housework and yard work but do it begrudgingly. I have a rescue cat and we are very attached. I participate in some sort of arts and crafts almost every day - feel lost without it. I love to read - especially science fiction. I watch TV a lot - news is important to stay informed - actually I don't watch TV very much but I listen to it - I DON"T do silence (I think it's because I worked ICU most of my nursing career and the cardiac monitors were always beeping and silence was VERY BAD. like many kinds of music - new age is a favorite.
