If you don't receive a swap from me in a timely fashion, PLEASE let me know. I'll be more than happy to send out a replacement!
I'm female, retired, and live on a game refuge in Northern California. I write fiction for an ebook publisher and spend my spare time reading, painting, drawing, and puttering around in the garden. I have five cats, who pretty much rule the roost.
I was a UCLA Fine Arts major, more years ago than I care to count, and I have worked as a draughtsman, commercial artist, and technical artist.
I prefer classical music, but I like some jazz and some country and western. I'm a particular fan of Moody Blues.
I read a lot of fiction, but I also like books on Jungian psychology, Kabalah, and the occult. I'm a fan of the Harry Potter series, and of Terry Pratchett's Diskworld books. I like classic science fiction from authors like Roger Zelazny and A. E. Van Vogt, and the Golden Age murder mysteries by John Dickson Carr, Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie, and Ngaio Marsh.
I have a lot of favorites, among them "Citizen Kane," "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf," the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and of course the Harry Potter movies. I love "Mama Mia" and old musicals like Kismet, Flower Drum Song, and Kiss Me Kate, but I also get a big kick out of those old horror flicks from the thirties and forties. My all-time favorite movie is the black and white version of "Hamlet."
I gave up watching television about five years ago. There wasn't enough on it to interest me.
I have done a lot of crafts over the years, including book binding, ribbon embroidery, crochet, and basket weaving. My main interest at the moment is making Artist Trading Cards.
My favorite pastime is reading. I am an ardent bibliophile and will read practically anything. I have a large library, including several hundred art books.
