Me. What to say about me... I suppose that it would be fitting to introduce myself as Carly J Padgett, although I answer to multiple alternated versions of the name. I like mail- handwritten, postal stamped envelopes that somehow carry the essence of another human being to their recipient. I am full of contradictions, one thing is stable and for sure: The world will one day be my playground. I will explore all of the slippery slides, the flying swing sets, and the sandy sandboxes it has to offer, and I hope to encounter many new friends along the way. I've never been further west than Oklahoma or further north than Pennsilvania, and I've never (in my memory) seen the true Atlantic ocean outside of the Gulf of Mexico. I am not, however, complaining because if I had I don't believe I'd have the global drive I have today. I love my home and my family; I'll love it when I come back between duties; I'll miss them when I don't see them everyday; and I'll appreciate them both even more when I am on my own.

                        Favorites?

As opinionated as I am, I like to keep my mind open. I avoid biases to the best of my human ability, so it is hard to call out favorites or general dislikes. However, for a kind request, I'll try my best.

I love cool colors- they remind me of the coast side.

I've come to have an acute affection for the Victorian Era and The pre War style.

I love, love, love culture. A nation's, a region's, an house hold's, an individual's customs and lifestyle- it fascinates me. It's why I swap.

With culture come art, and I wish I knew more about it. As it stands today, A Starry Night is my favorite major piece, but a unit of art at school this past term has given a glance into a whole new world.

One thing I don't like: Total non-effort. It is probably my only general dislike. It IS the thought that counts.

I hope this gives some insight into my world. It is so constantly flowing and being influenced that this is the best constant I can show you. :)

Tunes:) I like them. They are constantly playing in my head, but don't ask me about names and/or other information- I don't care. The sound is all that matters. Piano, all other string instruments, exciting symphonies, current hits, foreign hits, alternative, Christian, light metal, indie... the list stops where the rhythm does. A peek inside my unfailed band mix: All Time Low, Yellow Card, Mayday Parade, Shine Down, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi. These guys will forever play on my speakers. I've recently shown affection for Avenge Sevenfold, British folk/pop, and others alike. I hold no bias, aside from vulgar messages too poorly disguised in half made sounds to be respected.

Puzzles. 'nough said. Jigsaw, Brain Teasers, anything that challenges the mind. They are my drug.

Is it too vague to say that I appreciate a good read? Topics are irrelevant; if the author has a passion for the subject, the piece will be a work of art.
