I, too, very much enjoy The Witch of Blackbird Pond :) It's funny that you mentioned "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes and Other Lessons from the Crematory" since I was just finishing up "Stiff," a book about the "lives" of cadavers by Mary Roach.
