UPDATE. I AM POSTING THIS ON BEHALF OF MY MUM, PURPLEUNICORN. SHE IS AND HAS BEEN VERY ILL AND AS SUCH HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FULFILL HER OBLIGATIONS TO THE LAST TWO SWAPS. SHE WAS GETTING BETTER BUT HAD A RELAPSE BEFORE SHE COULD SEND THE SWAPS OUT. SHE DID TELL ME THAT SHE HAD CONTACTED HER LAST 2 PARTNERS TO TELL THEM OF HER ILLNESS, AND AGAIN SHE APOLOGISES FOR THIS. HOWEVER, SHE NOR I APPRECIATE THE BULLYING EMAIL SHE HAS RECEIVED LATELY...GET A GRIP, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A FEW POUNDS WORTH OF STUFF WHICH WHEN SHE IS FACING A SERIOUS ILLNESS REALLY DOESN'T COUNT FOR MUCH. JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION SHE HAS NOT RECEIVED HER CHRISTMAS WISHLIST SWAP EITHER, NOR THE EARRINGS FROM ONE OF HER PARTNERS. SO TO HER LAST 2 PARTNERS, SHE IS VERY SORRY AND IF AND WHEN SHE RECOVERS SHE WILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU. TO THE NASTY EMAILER...GO AND GET A LIFE, AND PICK ON SOMEONE ELSE.
Hi, I'm a single mum of 3, living in the UK. I've only just heard a bout swap-bot - don't know how I missed it as I love sending and receiving parcels, letters, cards etc. I love to write, and am currently working on a novel - reading is also a passion of mine. I am a chocaholic, and drink tea all day long (my Irish ancestors have a lot to answer for!). I also like drinking flavoured coffees but only really drink it when I go out. I'm a bit of a magpie as I love all things shiny and glittery...notebooks, pens etc, and I also have a thing for owls! Top of my bucket list is to see the Northern Lights.
I like most types of music...I'm an RnB girl mostly, but as my son plays in a band I have to like rock type stuff too! Pretty much anything I can sing along to.
I'll read just about anything - I love chick lit, thrillers, psychological horrors, memoirs...oh and anything that can make me laugh!
I like action films, horror (but psychological rather than all out gore), rom coms, tear jerkers...I don't really have a favourite movie - oh wait...Bridget Jones will always make me laugh so yeah, I guess that one!
ooh...can I just say chocolate? Milk, dark...who cares? And in drinkable form too :) Apart from chocolate I love spicy food and Italian . I'm not really keen on seafood, and anything that came with a shell...forget it! I have no food allergies so am pretty lucky in that way.
I'm a big tea drinker, and will try just about any sort. I do drink coffee too but this tends to be only when I'm out and go to starbucks or costa - I love their seasonal drinks.
I am into owls (I went through a phase of dreaming about them) so love anything to do with them. I also like anything with sequins/glitter/shiny stuff - I think it's all about things being cheerful and making me happy to look at them. I collect unusual notebooks, pens and other stationary, and adore candles, especially scented ones. And fairy lights everywhere, the more the merrier. Winter is my favourite season and I looove Christmas, especially when it snows. My house is like a grotto from 1st December every year. Autumn is my close second favourite.
Although I live pretty much as far inland as is possible, I adore the coast and anything to do with it. In fact I love to be at the beach in the winter more than the summer, and watch the waves crashing on the sand. I'm not one for sunbathing!
Gosh, I really do talk a lot...sorry!
Negative people - I try to surround myself with positive, happy people as miserable, negative people can drag you down. Bland colours, bland flavours, bland anything really. Life should be bright and colourful and interesting.
I love Owls, and anything to do with them, the cuter the better. The colour purple. Anything sparkly. Pretty notebooks. Unusual pens and pencils. Scented candles (apart from vanilla). Chocolate/sweets of any description. Postcards of places, especially wintry scenes but also love beaches, sunsets, forests. Unicorns. Warm, fluffy socks in bright colours. Ditto gloves. All kinds of earrings/bracelets/long necklaces with pendants. Quotes/sayings on cards. Photo frames. ANYTHING Christmassy. Tea bags. I am also very interested in Buddhism as a philosophy, so anything to do with Buddhism would also be very welcome.
