Hello! My name is Rachel, I'm 18 and I live in the West of Scotland. I've just finished my final year of high school and I'm taking a gap year just now. I'm hoping to find a job for a year and then go to university.

I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I've been to the USA, Tanzania, Morocco, and to several different parts of Spain. This summer I'm going to France and Italy which I'm very excited about! :D

In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, sending letters to my penpals, postcrossing, trying new crafts, watching films and TV and listening to music.

I love almost every type of music apart from rap and heavy metal. I mostly listen to pop, rock and indie. At the moment I love kpop and jpop. My favourite bands and artists are:

I also enjoy classical music and musicals, especially Tchaikovsky and Les Miserables.

I have too many favourite movies to list them all... usually I prefer comedies or dramas. Here is a small selection of my favourites:

I'm always happy to try new crafts, I really like making all sorts of DIY things for my room. I've been pen-palling for over a year now and I love mail art, and drawing. I also enjoy cross stitching and card making. My gran got me interested in both! I often bake cakes, cookies etc. for my family or if my friends are coming over. Sometimes I make jewellery, although I don't have as much time as I would like to try new techniques.

I love reading, it's been my favourite hobby ever since I learned to read! I have so many favourite books, but I especially love Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, A Song of Fire and Ice, Anne of Green Gables, One Day, Private Peaceful, Jane Eyre, The Fault in our Stars, Looking for Alaska, Eleanor and Park, The Book of a Thousand Days, the Chronicles of Narnia, Fahrenheit 451, The Declaration, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and My Sister's Keeper
