I am married to a wonderful guy and I have three sons and a daughter. Three of my children are grown and out on their own. I still have a sixteen year old son at home. I have my own hair salon. I find my sanity outlet to be with my art. There is no better way for me to escape from the everyday problems than to dive into a project and create and breathe new life into something that has been discarded. I always like to try new things, at least as far as my artwork is concerned. I have dabbeled in everythng from floral arranging to jewelry which has now expanded into altered art. I also like to surf the internet to see what creative ideas others come up with.

I love collecting vintage ephemera and doo dads to use in my art. I especially like old clock gears or pocket watches and rusty old objects that are being cast aside. I also adore old pictures of children. Vintage tatting and laces along with old handkerchiefs are other favorites of mine to collect. I love all types of charms, the more unique the better. I love working with textured papers and backgrounds, plus clear designed overlays. I also enjoy distessing items to give the appearance of "old".Some of my favorite colors are earth tones, brown, tan, rust, maroon, I also love kaki green and olive green, periwinkle blue, and mauve. Steampunk, fairy's and mermaids and Mona Lisa are also favorite themes for me to work with.
I like to listen to all sort of music. From classical to rock & roll. I also like to listen to indian flute music when I am being creative
My favorite all time movie is "Titanic". I love both the original and the remake.
My favorite show is American Idol, I also like Dancing with the Stars. Some other shows I enjoy are... Grey's Anatomy, Trauma, Life in the ER, Code Blue, Cops, Americas Most Wanted, Bachelor, Plus I like to watch reality courtroom shows.
I enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts. Some of which include, Steampunk Art, Clock making, jewelry making, beading, wire wrapping. I have made my own millifiori glass and fimo beads. Sculpting fairies, Paper crafting... greeting cards, ATC's. I love to do all sort of papercrafting techniques. Decoupage, Pergamao, Spirelli, Tea Bag Folding, Iris Folding, Mandella, plus others. I love to make journals and altered books. I also like to felt. I know I am forgetting many more areas, but those are just to name a few.

Thanks for swapping with me--I can't wait to get started playing with the fabric and bead/buttons you sent!
O.K. one other question. What "glue" do you use to make all the clocks parts "stick" together?
OMG!!!! I just went to your Flickr site again and saw the incredible CLOCKS.........WOW!!!! Where do you get all the clock parts? I have a ton of watch parts (after collecting and buying them all summer at garage sales and junk stores) but I've never seen Clock parts. I've got to know where you get them. Jan
