hello! I'm brand new here so please be kind to me. I've always wanted to get into pen paling since I had one when I was much younger.
My name is Leben, I'm a Taurus, I'm an art major in California with hopes of becoming a teacher one day, though I long for a rustic life far away from my day-to-day job. I'll likely homestead when I get close to retirement age. I'd love to raise chickens, and garden.
I enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, TTRPGS, strumming my lap harp or ukulele, and reading the occasional fantasy novel.
Favorite Colors- Mahogany brown, emerald green, and soft creams or beige.
I've been getting into eco-minimalism and low waste concepts in my daily life, so I always have easy recipe cards for things like alternative kinds of milk, easy peanut butter, etc. I'm still a beginner but I'm hoping to get better and better as time goes on!
I appreciate a lot of the tik tok cottagecore music I can listen to on youtube or spotify. This includes Hozier, Mitski, and soft instrumental songs.
soft folk is also appreciated when the mood fits!
herbalism, plant resources, gardening, and vintage books with recipes are my loves.
I like to collect them, read them, and donate them to the local front yard libraries around my town when I'm done so someone else can enjoy them as much as I do.
Probably watercolor arts the most, shortly followed by embroidery and simple stitching. I'd love to get into quilt making but I know I have quite a way to go to learn it!
I've been wanting to try reusing paper scraps I have to make pages to write letters on, as well as dye them natural with food scraps and tea (they smell so good afterward!).
I'm obsessed with Cottagecore, Goblincore, rural, or generally vintage pastoral themes. Old prints or designs from late 1800s of farmscapes are really amazing too, anything depicting something you would normally find in your grandmother's house or old thrifting items.
+I also love forest designs (state parks and other scenery), pressed flowers with information on them, mosses, mushroom iconography, and herbs.
+I've also started to collect woodblock stamps, and enamel pins.
+Scandinavian folk patterns (Sweden & Denmark), images of landscape, cultural items are great.
+Tea is always wonderful and I always drink it often in bulk, though I am allergic to mint.
-Plastic based glitter, -Neon/harsh colors, -Heavy plastics, -Mint products (allergies), -Gory/scary themes. - Catholic/Christian Religious items (scripture, passages, iconography, etc.)
