My name is Sera. I am in my late 20's. I work in retail management. I have off and on been writing letters and postcards since I was in my teens. Because I work full time (often with overtime) I don’t have much free time, but I enjoy snail-mail, swaps, and pen-palling in what free time I do get.

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I like to go to the beach and hike with friends when I have a day off. My other hobby is thrifting, I like to go by myself so I can take my time looking at everything.

I generally take a break from swap-bot around the holidays to focus on the busy season at work and avoid long lines at the post office. I may not be very responsive during the holidays.

I take about 95% of my mail directly to my local post office to be posted but if I ever miscalculate postage please let me know and I will make it right.

I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Drake.

I collect state shaped magnets and state themed shot glasses.

I loove Trader Joe’s and we aren’t able to buy anything from them in Hawaii, please let me know if you would be interested in a private swap for Trader Joe’s products! I’m willing to swap anything!!

I grew up going to the Sanrio store in the mall by my childhood home and I have fond memories of going with my grandmother and begging her for stickers or some kind of stationery. I would say I’ve been a lifelong Sanrio fan girl!

I'm not real picky with Kawaii themes. I'm happy with most characters and themes!!

I like almost all the Sanrio characters. I love Hangyodon, Sugarbunnies, Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamaroll, Pochacco, Keropi, and Peckkle. I love many of the main characters friends, too. Pochaccos pi-chans and Cinnamaroll’s friend milk are my current favorites.

My favorite San-X character is the Kiirotori duck from Rilakkuma.

I really love houseplants, not so much outdoor gardening. I live in hot and sunny zone 11 where many plants I attempt wilt after one day of not watering. I am very passionate about Hoya plants. I have almost 30 different Hoya cultivars and I'm always looking for more.

I like to cook but I hate doing dishes. Dishwashers are not very common in Hawaii.

I like to sew, I love shopping for fabric. We don't have major craft stores in Hawaii so I go on a crazy shopping spree every time I get to go to Joanns in the Mainland US. I make a lot of clothing, small gift items, and pouches. I like to make cosplay costumes. I have never had the time to do quilting, but I would love to if I had more time.

I have an embroidery machine that I bought with money I made selling masks during 2020. I always wanted one, but I could never justify spending the money, so I made it my pandemic goal to buy one. I have been making a lot of anime inspired embroidery designs in the process of learning the embroidery software.

I like to go on hikes with my dog or my friends on weekends. I like to go jogging and go to the gym.
