UPDATE 02/28/2010 I am taking a little break from organized swapping because I am HOSTING a traveling toy thanks to @Blockstar :) I haven't been able to take Holly around much because the weather has been so bad, and now that things are warming up I want to make Holly's trip perfect! Penpals, feel free to write me, I'll still write back --- I'm just not going to be crafting much until the seedlings are up and in the garden and the house gets painted. Ug.

I love embroidery! All types! Blackwork, subversive, naughty, etc. Ironic, sassy embroideries make me giggle. I love handmade items, and I understand what the learning curve is so I won't be offended if you are new crochet and send me a crooked, weird looking potholder. Why? Because I can't crochet at all :) I think crafting should be uplifting, encouraging and relaxing. On that note, I am new to crafting as well -- so I apologize if my handmade item is not up to par with you if you have been doing this for 20 years. But I always do my best, and that's all I ask of you!

About Me

I am here to find an outlet for my Adult A.D.D.
(Tyler Durden says "FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS!")

I'm a nerdy girl who's into indie music, attachment parenting and seed bombing. I love to read and make waffles and hang out with my kiddos. HOPELESSLY addicted to coffee and antique skeleton keys.

PLEASE DON"T SMOKE CIGARETTES AROUND THE STUFF YOU WANT TO SWAP WITH ME. :( I will have to throw it in the trash, and I really don't want to do that!!!

Left handed. People always find this interesting for some reason.

Crunchy stay at home mom to : Calla Grace (age 26 months) and Ruby Jayne (age 7 months) My babies are the light of my life... and the reason I drink!!! LOL

My beautiful baby boy Seth passed away when he was 19 days old from complications of Trisomy 21. Miss you little man, and I can't wait to see you on the other side!

I am into suburban homesteading and REALLY want to get some chickens so I can use the poop in my garden and have fresh eggs. I have yet to convince my husband that it would be just like having a dog, yet with feathers...

Happy People (happiness is a choice, not an accident.

BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED

suburban homesteading

.I know it seems like a contradiction in terms, but I am giving suburban homesteading a try. We can't afford to drop everything and move to the country (yet) so I am doing the best with what I have --- which is a huge backyard! This year we are trying to grow 50% of all our food (from seed!) in the garden. We will try to preserve as much as possible. The laundry room closet was just overtaken and will become the root cellar. The best part?!?! CHICKENS!!! MY HENS ARE COMING MAY 9TH!!! Yay for fresh eggs every day! :) :) :)

Comment: Thanks for sharing your 63-item bucket list. I appreciated how yours is a long-term effort and chuckled at the last entry: "Keep adding to this list." That is a good idea! Since this was my 4th bucket list Swap-bot, I continue to add to my list too. I also like that you dated items once they were accomplished.

Comment: Thanks for the great teas. I had not tried Tazo teas, I think they will make it to my next grocery list. Yeah, I'm not fond of having neighbors close enough that you can hear them snore. Our saving grace is that our house is on a corner lot. We try to make it to the mountains for weekends every so often to escape the silliness of the masses. My BIL has the same birthday and he enjoys calling me every year to wish us happy birthday. I would entertain an private spouse swap in April (his b-day). The last surprise I set up for him flaked on me. :(
Response: Eeeew, flakers :( But I am happy you liked the teas I sent -- thanks so much for the heart!
