I am trying to rejoin after a lapse of a few years, when I lost my grip after a friend's death. I will do what I can to repair/improve my rating history.

I hate to talk about myself. I love purple. I have a black cat & a black dog (both shelter mutts). I live in an old family summer house (winterized) in a small, small town in the mountains of northern New York. (Mail is collected once a day and postmarked in a city 50 miles away.) I volunteered as an ambulance driver for 10 years. I am a graphic artist (a typesetter in the 90s before everyone thought they could do it themselves - I am very thankful laser printers replaced photo chemistry in my life); a sometime potter, hoping to develop an aesthetic based on firing with local scrap wood. I love fabric & yarn, I even sew & knit a little. I halfway live in cyberspace.

Read constantly, especially fiction but also history, anthropology; what was it like? what would it be like?

I hate using the telephone, love e-mail, don't care for chat but prefer more considered writing. Am active on Facebook

Mystery series with humane detectives, science fiction with an anthropological view

I had a Netflix queue over 300 long, so much I haven't seen... gave it up to save money after a cleaning lady threw out my Netflix disks in their bare sleeves, as well as new CDs, DVDs and books still in their shrink-wrap - which might give you a clue about my housekeeping.
