As of 10/29/07, I am a bit behind on swaps as I JUST got a full time real-life job as a telemarketer after 2 years as a stay at home mom, so I'm adjusting to having to work again, and will get caught up on all swaps soon!!! I'm a 28 year old woman from mid-missouri, where I live with my husband of 5 years, my 9 year old son, my 2 dogs and 2 cats. I love knitting, animals, crafts, crocheting granny squares, the internet, building websites, making candles and soaps, reading, writing, watching movies and nature.

Music I enjoy varies greatly. I love pretty much anything except for rap and pop. Favorite artists include Nine Inch Nails, Def Leppard, Nirvana, Disturbed, Placebo, Pink, Matchbox 20, Alanis Morisette, STP, and many many others. I also love 80s music, being an 80s child. I also REALLY love musicals, especially any by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, etc. I'm a huge fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Les Miserables as well.

Love to read anything I can get my hands on (Westerns excluded, thank you)! Have a special place in my heart for paranormal romances and erotic horror though. Favorite authors include Laurell K. Hamilton, Poppy Z. Brite, Maggie Shayne, Josie Litton, J.D. Ward, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Kelly Armstrong, and many others. I LOVE a good horror anthology...the scarier the better!! And gross is great also! LOL

I also enjoy some fantasy and sci-fi, self-help books in the theme of meditation, yoga, relaxation, dreams, etc. Wiccan/Pagan books also welcome. No Christian books or bibles, please. I have a special fondness for short stories. Oh, and conversely, I love books by authors such as Billie Letts, Fannie Flagg (go on British people, giggle away, that's really her name), Debbie Macomber and others. I like pretty much all kinds of movies, except perhaps westerns and really boring dramas. I have a particular fondness for a good horror movie. Some of my favorite movies are: Phantom of the Opera (the 2002 Andrew Lloyd Webber one), Ghost Ship, House of 1000 Corpses, anything with Adam Sandler in it, Armageddon, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dawn of the Dead (new), Clerks 2, Jay &; Silent Bob Strike Back (and any other Kevin Smith film!!! I LOVE Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes), Dead End, Jesus Christ Superstar, Half Baked, Interview With The Vampire, Donnie Darko, The Big Lebowski, Where The Heart Is, The 10th Kingdom, and Quentin Tarantino and any/all of his movies!!

I LOVE knitting, yarn, crocheting (though my knowledge of crochet is limited to granny squares, which I LOVE to make!), beading and beads of all kinds, macrame, making candles and soap, shrines and altered journals.

Blues, Greens, Purples, Black, earth tones, dark colors, teal, burgundy, creams and beiges...there aren't many colors I don't like, except for Orange and bright pink.

Smells I like: lavender, cotton, Moonlight Path (BBW type), Ocean/Sea type fragrances, Patchouli, Herbal Scents, Sweet Pea, anything relaxing!!

Just some general information that might assist my potential swap-mates:

• I don't like "girly stuff", pinks, pastels, etc.

• I don't wear jewelry for the most part. I don't wear any makeup at all. Occasionally I'll wear a necklace or a pair of earrings, but I'm not a huge fan of wearing jewelry.

• I LOVE tea - tea will get you hearts every time!

• I also love animals, esp. cats and I collect cat figurines, cat coffee cups, etc.

• I love yarn, especially cotton yarn or yarns with a really soft plush/velvety feel to them. And I don't have very much yarn at all. I live in a small town where the nearest craft or yarn store is about 2 hours away and I have about 2 dozen skeins of yarn in my ENTIRE stash...so yarn of absolutely any kind is appreciated!

• I live in a small house with 2 large dogs (a Rottweiler/German Shepherd Mix named Jake and a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie Mix named Sam) and three cats named Oreo, Demon and Kizzy. I do a lot of volunteer work for animal charities in my spare time.

• I'm not allergic to anything, but I'm not a huge fan of wool.

• My favorite teas are Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong, Green Tea w/Mint, Chocolate Mint, Vanilla Hazelnut, Vanilla Roobios, almost any type of herbal tea (except chamomile), and chai tea. I also love Dragon Phoenix Pearl green tea, and Sencha green tea. I also love teas with roses, lavender, jasmine or other florals. I LOVE Yogi Tea, Tazo Tea, Republic of Tea. I also enjoy loose teas and flowering teas!

I don't like fruit teas or hibiscus-based tea blends (like zingers) at all, I don't like plain black teas, and I hate lemon ginger.

• My bedroom is done in an oriental motif with burgandy and cream colors, my living room hasn't currently got a theme, but it's colors are blue and beige, our kitchen is yellow and white with sunflowers and butterflies as a theme, our bathroom is a light blue with light oak accents.

• Things for my doggies or kitties are also appreciated!

• I love bubble bath!! And soaps, bath salts, etc...anything that can pamper you in a bathtub lol

• I also journal and meditate a lot. I would love to receive altered journals.

• I'm sort of agnostic-pagan...I loosely celebrate both Pagan and Christian holidays, although I would prefer not to receive Christian items.

• I love candy and chocolate - favorites include salty licorice (the hard kind, not the soft!) (actually ANY kind of black licorice or anise flavored candy), chocolate dipped altoids of any kind (peppermint, cinnamon or ginger), any kind of peanut butter or peanut butter & chocolate candy, toffees & caramels, salt water taffy, and buttermints.

• I don't really care for ATCs at all, I prefer useful things over decorative things

• Buy me anything from my Amazon.com wishlist and I'll be your best friend for life ;)

• I only have 3 pair of knitting needles and they are all metal. Would love handmade knitting needles, or bamboo/wooden needles. I usually only use sizes 5-8 needles for my projects. Would LOVE to have a set of dpns, I do not have any and would love to learn how to knit socks on them! Or would appreciate additional pairs of circular needles as I only have one! Also could really use a needle organizer for my current knitting needles!

• I'm not into Kawaii or HK stuff...it's just too cutesy for me. I do like weird stuff...the stranger the better LOL

• I also love dried herbs of any kind

• Through swapbot, I've acquired a special taste for licorice especially salty licorice (the hard kind) which I can't get here in the United States! If you have candy like Pulver Paddles (anise/licorice frogs), please send some!

• I love dried lavender and use it in everything - teas, pillows, bath salts, etc. Also love dried catnip in bulk as well for use in handmade cat toys.

• I'm NOT a yarn snob and love all kinds of yarn, even acrylic (which I use to make crocheted hair scrunchies and granny squares with). I use a lot of cotton also and yarn blends as well. I only use fun fur for hair scrunchies though, so I don't really need that much...
