I enjoy reading my partners profiles, (both to AND from! Even when its not required)..Its important to me to know who I'm swapping with, I want to be able to accommodate my swap partners as best as possible. I also find it insightful and entertaining... theres a lot of really great funny profiles out there! Also, you all have given me some important tips and things worth mentioning in my own profile! :)

I found Swap-Bot when I went searching on Google for a place to swap ATCs with other talented artists. I have had an interest in ATCs since around 2004. I moved to Colorado in 2007 for a few years and taught classes at the art community center in the town I lived. I also taught at a women's retreat on making/trading ATCs.

And I love, love, love "altered" things & up-cycling! I work in so many mediums at any given time, that's when I realized I truly am a mixed media artist.

I've been hoarding all kinds of weird stuff (well that's what my kids call it, i disagree!) Such as, broken toys, metal and iron from farms and railroad tracks...I love to pick up anything i think is interesting off the ground, and take them home and put in baskets. Animal skulls and bones and teeth I picked up in Co and Az while camping, and rocks, drift wood, etc (list goes on and on) My intention is to make found object sculptures. I've already used some of this material for Dream catchers and small wind chimes, etc. I also get a kick out of making small sculptures on site,with misc. things lying around and then photographing it and then leaving it there for someone to stumble across and find one day. I want to make a coffee table book of these photos one day.... I have A LOT of ideas that I want to do, but as they say,"Carpe Diem!"
