I live in Los Angeles, CA and love the diversity of our city. Small cities are not for me. Despite the wildness of LA, I am a pretty laid back girl. I don't smoke, drink or gamble. I like to interact with my family and friends but I definitely like my alone time too. Some likes/dislikes:

I enjoy alot of different types of music but not bluegrass or reggae. I do esp. like hard rock and heavy metal and classical! I don't have a fav band cuz I enjoy many, even sitar music!

My fav. book is anything by Patricia Cornwall. I really like crime mysteries and read alot in that genre, but I really do read diverse topics. Currently am reading a 540 page book on rare diseases from all around the world. I just finished a book entitled Water for Elephants (fiction). I highly recommend it to all my friends/avid readers. I read a book called Morning Glory - it is a love story that is not at all sappy, gushy or saccharin. Good reading.

Oho! I just watched Titantic (15 years after it came out!!) LOVED IT! Did you know the director (James Cameron) also directed Avatar, another blockbuster but my fav. movie is still The Dark Knight. Simply awesome! I also like alot the 1959 thriller, Anatomy of a Murder. Wicked. Have you seen "Finder's Fee" with Ryan Renolds (The Green Lantern/2011) and James Earl Jones? That young man acted the heck out of this movie. I am going to rewatch it this weekend.

I am currently seriously obsessed with Showtimes "Dexter". The TV series is fan-tab-you-lous, but the books are only so-so. The season of 2010 was ok. Hope season 2011 is much better - but I still enamored with the show. I found a new/old show: The Secret Diary of a Call Girl on Showtime. I am hooked. Why does Showtime service cost so much? Many more people would stay or sign up if it were lower priced. I love Criminal Minds -esp. Penelope and Spencer. I adore the relationship between Derek and Penelope. Speaking of relationships - how fab is Castle and his relationship with his mom and daughter? So refreshing to see a 'normal' relationship.

I am a beginner scrapbooker. I haven't made alot of stuff yet but the stuff on YouTube is breath-taking. Update: making more stuff but I have recently moved to a smaller apartment and so it is difficult to find the motivation to stick with sitting at my desk to create. I think I'll move my crafting to the dining room. I am currently trying my hand at making Pretty Little Books (see littleglimpses on youtube). So very inspirational. Thanks Mystele! My newest craze is hand drawn ATCs. I can't draw worth beans but I probably am not as bad as I think. This hopefully will make me draw more and learn to like my art. I adore cats (not hairless ones) of many persuasions.

When I had my babies (they are adults with their own homes now) I pared down my salt intake to a good level and I tried to do that with sugar, but I am addicted: any candy or sweet stuff (no chamomile flavored stuff - ugh!) will Immediately be appreciated!!, even dried fruit.

Further to my likes/collections: cat stuff (small things like postcards and trinkets); business cards of ANY persuasion (not adult or hate); dinner bells and small snow globes. Not really wish list stuff, just things I like. Some more stuff I like:

coffees and teas dark chocolates (will eat milk chocolate, no white chocolate, please)

wish list: fibers (12" or more); lace; twine (light brown or tan, 36" or more); mat stacks (mini scrapbook pads of patterned paper); roll of sticky tape (1/4th"); charms, beads, any thing that is FUN or just PRETTY!!
