I'm Carolyn, I live in Oakland California. I was born in San Diego and grew up in Adelaide, Australia.
I have a degree in history and I work as a nanny (no they don't have anything to do with each other at all).
I like to read, knit and sew.
I've only lived here a little while so I don't really know too many people.

Wondering what to send?

Really anything at all. Honestly I don't want anyone to feel bad, or not swap with me because they don't have something that is on my list, if I can't use it I can always pass it on but if you want specific ideas here is a list...

I want: Postcards.
Yarn.
Pens.
Stickers.
Stationary.
Weird things (I collect inappropriate souvenirs).
Tank tops (I make reusable shopping bags out of them).
Grosgrain ribbon.
Eco Felt (I don't use any other kind)
Empty packets of baby wipes. The bag kind not the boxes.

I am thinking of getting a tattoo of a leafy seadragon. If you are an artist and want to take a try at drawing one let me know.

If you are sending from Australia... Salvital, Berroca, Vegimite, Chicos.

If you are really stuck, close your eyes and pick something from the box of things you have and send it to me.

Comment: Oh Carolyn, I love all that you sent. I have to tell you the story about the package you sent. I picked up my mail on Saturday, and there you were! I went home, set the envie on my coffee table, and went about my business. (I like to save my mail and open it when I'm nice and comfy and able to enjoy it.) Anyway, that night, I heard my cat playing with something and he woke me up from a sound sleep. I couldn't figure out what he was playing with until I got up, turned on the light, and saw your envie torn open with his saliva all over it. Well, that's how I figured out you sent catnip. My cat has never done anything like that and I got a real kick out of him opening up this particular piece of mail. Thanks a bunch! It made for a great Sunday brunch story to my family. =) BTW, Bruce is adorable! I hope he remembers you. lol
