I'm 29, live in London and am currently studying for a PhD in politics.

I love all things vintage, burlesque and pin up inspired, Fifties clothes (think polka dots, net underskirts, cigarette pants and Bardot sweaters) and Sixties styling (bubble televisions and the like!) and 1980s glam mashed up with Nineties grunge (cord bags with rhinestones, combat pants and eyeliner!)

My PhD is actually on nuclear civil defence so I also love all retro and atomic design from the Duck & Cover period right up to the 1980s and have a HUUUGE collection of all related ephemera from that time - I also like anything related to Cold War/Soviet propaganda and public information broadcasting in the UK and US.

I also like alt rock music, indie and grunge, Ealing Comedies, Audrey Hepburn and Paul Newman (mmm!) era films, Stephen Fry (double mmm!), Alan Bennett, Elvis and Morrissey, ee cummings and Simon Armitage and most modern art (esp. Rothko).

My favourite colours are pink, all shades of green, black and silver. I love stars, candy stripes, tattoo iconography and Cath Kidson style chintz.

I love to make all kinds of papercraft, especially journals, and tiny hand stitched stuffies. I'm currently learning to knit and sew (just finished my first scarf and bought my first sewing machine) but remain utterly hopeless at crochet!
