Hi all, I am a newbie to swap-bot and am excited about all the great swaps (although I have been swapping fabric and quilt blocks for a while on other fora). I'm a early-30s transplanted midwesterner living near San Francisco with my spousal unit; no kids or pets. I'm a writer and I love to sew garments and quilts. I also enjoy cooking, and I'm an inveterate reader - nonfiction, SF, and romance among others. Music-wise I like bluegrass, folk and folk rock along with industrial and goth. TV and movies are pretty eclectic too - scifi and "chick flicks," and anything historical (if only to mock the way they get the history wrong).

I am not picky about what I receive, as I love to see other people's design sense. If you want to know what I like though: clear and bright colors, black, textures, chocolate, carbs, 20th century vintage, modernist architecture and design, simplicity, and a sense of humor. Dislikes: olives, fall colors, overly fussy things, too much pink, iced tea and lolcats.
