i am a happily married Christian wife and mother to 4 children ages 4-17. we live rurally along the central coast of california. i love reading, crafting, quilting, watching movies and some traveling! mostly, i love spending time with my family. i like shabby chic things and rustic things. i call it "shabby cabin"....lol i enjoy haunting thrift stores and flea markets for anything that catches my eye. i am partial to vintage treasures....it can be anything! i like blues, pinks, sage green, cream and burgundy colors. i like the smell of autumn bonfires and the smell of "fresh from the dryer" laundry. my dream is to live on acreage in an older farmhouse with lots of trees and and a big garden. i collect spoons, old linens, buttons, old bibles......i am kind of crazily eclectic!

i like all kinds of music. anything that strikes a deep chord within me. so, it can be a variety of music that does that. some hymns, some gospel, bluegrass, folk and country. some examples of what i like would be; alison krause, gillian welch, eva cassidy, chris tomlin...

"house of mirth" is one of my all time favorite movies. that movie really spoke to me about how important it is to say what you mean and mean what you say. my daughter and i love to watch the great bbc productions like "wives and daughters" and "pride and prejudice". i also really liked "oh brother where art thou" for the great music and laughs!

antiques roadshow, if these walls could talk (hgtv) the office, law and order, any of those news shows like dateline and 20/20(kind of a news junky...)

quilting, some easy sewing, making my own greeting cards with vintage photographs, beaded jewelry, felt craft, crocheting, papercrafts, scrapbooks, making something out of nothing.....i like dumpster diving and finding cool items to repurpose!
