I am 28 years old.
I live in a sleepy little community less than ten minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
Most recently, I've been employed as a decorator at the "happiest place on earth". I love it and hate it equally.
I'm passionate about: cinema, music, books, photography, equality, nature, friends/ family, and my dog (she's awesome).
My interests change frequently. Lately it's been: French New Wave cinema, 60's fashion/ design, J.D. Salinger, the photography of Francesca Woodman and Anna Gaskell.
Some of my favorite books: The Handmaid's Tale (Atwood), After the Quake (Murakami), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Kundera), Franny and Zooey (Salinger), The Virgin Suicides (Eugenides), and Veronika Decides to Die (Coelho).
I love music! I especially love mix CD's ;)
Some of my favorite artists are: PJ Harvey, Bjork, Tori Amos, Carina Round, Nouvelle Vague, Beck, Liz Phair, John Lennon, Fiona Apple, Ryan Adams, U2, Dixie Chicks, Feist, Regina Spektor, The Shins, Amos Lee, Cat Power, Damien Rice, Jolie Holland, Nirvana, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Miss Derringer, Isobel Campbell, The White Stripes, Ray LaMontagne, The Gossip, Keren Ann, Charlotte Martin, Muse, Rilo Kiley, and Grey DeLisle.
I watch everything! But I adore: indie, foreign, horror, documentary, silent (especially Mary Pickford films).
Some of my all-time faves are : Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine, Band of Outsiders, Grey Gardens, Iron Jawed Angels, Funny Face, The Double Life of Veronique, Waking the Dead, Garden State, The 400 Blows, The Science of Sleep, Nights of Cabiria, Meshes of the Afternoon, Raise the Red Lantern, Amores Perros, Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Bicycle Thief, Requiem for a Dream, Sixteen Candles, Donnie Darko, Ghost World, Edward Scissorhands, What Dreams May Come, Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet, Shut Up and Sing, A Tale of Two Sisters, and The City of Lost Children.
I'm currently attempting to live without cable. So far it's going swell!
My favorite shows to watch on DVD are: The Office, I Love Lucy, Six Feet Under, Freaks and Geeks, and My So-Called Life.
I like: photo art, altered art and collage.
