Basics: I live with a great guy, our (female) cat Scout, and the baby in my belly : ). I'm pregnant with our first child, a little girl due at the very end of August who will probably be named Ellie. And I'm loving this whole new view of life more than I'd ever imagined.

Work/School: I was an anthropology major until I decided I wanted a degree that would actually help me get a job and make decent money. I took some time off but am back in college now, taking prerequesites and applying to a nursing program. I have a wide variety of academic interests and like to learn about a lot of subjects--which is why I've had a hugely difficult time trying to choose a career path. I work a "crappy" service/tip job, but I'm actually pretty happy there for the time being.

I am interested in and/or enjoy... craftiness & diy, zines, thrift shopping, violins, writing, reading, nature, alternative education/homeschooling, travel, foreign cultures, healthy lifestyles (it's definitely a work in progress), happiness,...

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, or have specific shows that I plan to watch. But when flipping through channels, I might land on HGTV/TLC/Discovery/etc., Medium, Gilmore Girls, Law & Order, medical stuff, or reruns of an old sitcom like Roseanne or MASH.

Interested in lots; expert in none... knitting, all kinds of paper stuff, art journals, scrapbooking, handmade envelopes, whatever seems like fun at the time.

I especially want to learn to use my sewing machine and figure out bookbinding.

Also, I'll be moving into a more "home"-like home soon, so I'm definitely interested in crafts related to that--creating a happy, comfortable living space, decorating, related skills, etc.

And of course most anything for a baby girl.
